Attention all autoers!

When you macro with a banker, make sure to do that on an unsigned applet. When you transfer your goods it will be recorded in "randoms.dat", so make sure to remove everything, if you don't want your main banned!

 

Maybe you should provide more of an explanation?

Randoms.dat? Where is this file found? Can't it simply be deleted if its stored locally? Can you edit it?

 

right... cause jagex keep a record of what you have and haven't done on your computer where you can change / delete it rather than on their servers where they would be able to use that information...

Jagex doesn't store ANY vital information client side.

So recorded history of bank transfers in Runescape is definitely not going to be stored locally.

This could either mean an auto programmed to bank your items.
Or it could mean a mule account that holds your items for you.

Since you posted two line thread with little to no information how could you expect us to know what your talking about?

Jagex store a file on your computer, it's how they refer to you. They don't exactly use IP's anymore. It's all stored in that 'randoms.dat file'.

They do not store any "inside" account information in the random.dat file, it is the replacement file for the uid.dat file. They have now made the file a Random Access File which is held open in the memory so you can't edit it / delete it whilst having a runescape world loaded. If you set its property to "read only" it will generate another file within another location (it does this 8 times) if you set all those 8 files to read only and go to load a world it will say rs_cache_error unable to download cache files.
That is how they made it harder to dual login.

That doesn't stop it from storing other information. I'm pretty sure they store tons of info in it.

 

Speljohan is right. I've had all my accounts I transfered stuff to banned because of this.

 

Although very unlikely, is there anyway we can edit this file to not show certain information?

Otherwise this is a pretty big tree in the road.

Unsigned Java is a loophole though right?

 

I'm not really sure if you can delete this but I agree with speljohan. I am pretty sure that they store some stuff in there that can be of use, the problem is finding it. And thank you covey for explaining it in detail.

 

Well i just played for 10 mins, trading random people junk and every so often checking back on that file and its filesize and contents did not change.
