Gold sinks?

what are the biggest gold sinks out rn? It would be interesting/surprising I think. Post down below with what you think

1. Construction as in Demon butler, plank method cost and building rooms suggested by @Ozzi
2. Consumable item shops suggested by @Bogla
3. 5m for edge spawn suggested by @Zac
4. NMZ coffers, untradeable item drops on PK worlds, and 10k fee to go to sand crab island suggested by @phatalize
5. Crystal bow etc (Im assuming that means all degradeable items? correct me if im wrong) suggested by @bam y0u dead
6. Last man standing minigame suggested by @Smiveras
7. Pet costs suggested by @Makkara
8. Bond conversion rate and boss instance fees suggested by @Mudzilla

 

Construction would be a good call. Iirc the entire idea of construction was mainly to be a gold sink.

- Turning logs into planks cost
- Butler cost ever few trips
- Building rooms

An update a few months back allows you to build a 100m cash stack in your poh, the is the biggest gold sink in terms of amount. However so little people are willing to throw 100m away so it isnt that effective of course. More of a gimmick. Im sure there are more gold sinks from construction but thats all I could think of for now.

There is also barrows armour repairing, nmz fees, boss instance fees(this one probably not really effective and of course bond conversion. These are all I could think of for now Pretty sure there are more tho and hope to see what others can think of

 

Yea butler + planks were what I was thinking as well. From now on I'll be adding all suggestions to OP

 

Biggest I can think of is shops with consumable items (e.g rune shops).

Since slayer is so popular I'd like to see an option to pay a slayer master different fees in gold to -

- Give less of a chance for 2-3 specific tasks for one day (Maybe 250k cost)
- Pay 100k to teleport to directly to the area of your current assignment
- Pay 1m gold to gain double the slayer xp for your current assignment

some large gold sinks are things like the NMZ coffer, the now 10k trip to go to the sand crab island, and recently the untradeable items on death in PK worlds.

 

Also Crystal bow etc although this goes down with each use

 

last man standing minigame.

 

Insuring a pet costs about a million.

Think you've got most of the bigs ones, only ones i can add is,
- bond conversion fees to make them tradable (214k)
- instance fees for corp/kraken (200k)
- repairing void, torso, fire cape etc after you've died in wildy
