    Interesting. Doesn't explain why you were not able to recover an account you were the OO of however.

    I said the same thing on this report, Arcus is the OO he should be able to recover it but he can't, he fails to do so after months of not being on the account.

    You purchased at least 4 maxed accounts in the 6 months before you sold this account to newports.

    You claim you are the OO of the account but you can't recover it. I note that if the account has only had two owners the OO probably should be able to recover it.

    You have no evidence of being the original owner.

    Balance of probabilities suggest to me that you are not the original owner of the account.

    So because I don't hoard emails for everything I do for safety (however I have text documents with info password protected and stored locally), I'm not the owner of something? Because I have bought and sold accounts in the past it means on this one i'm not the original owner of?

    I wouldn't say I was the OO and then not be, I want my buyer to be as informed as possible as I'm never in a rush.


    If there was a rule saying I needed to have all emails (for whatever reason) I would have all of the emails.

    Because you don't keep ordinary records that ordinary people keep you are unable to provide evidence to aid your case. There is no rule that states you must keep business records.

    And I did not say you are not the original owner, I said that on balance of probabilities it seems more likely that you are not the original owner than that you are the original owner.

    Unless you can give me some sort of evidence that you are the original owner this remains my position.

    So, what do you want me to do about not hoarding emails and not being able to show the creation email being received. I'd like to get this resolved.

    I had an issue like this, all the info I typed was correct gave them every bit of info they needed and more and was still denied.

    After 3 or so attempts I was looking at what more I could do and the only thing I could think of was to change the email they would send their response (accepted/denied) to my email I created the account with.

    Not sure if he tried this yet, or if he even could since it seems he's not the OO. But he most likely has.

    Why IHQ would not save the proof that he was the OO is beyond me and would lead one to assume the only logical possibility at this point. That he's not the OO and lied to newports.

    The issue is this:

    If you aren't the OO and your represented that you were the OO when you sold it then you caused the buyer to rely on this representation. The buyer has then put wealth on this account believing it to be safe.

    If it is the case that you lied to him then your lie caused him to lose money so you would be on the hook for damages.

    It was your claim that you were the OO. So the burden is on you to show that you indeed were.

    Alright IHQ has given me some evidence that he is likely the original owner based on the login name which can't be changed as I understand it.

    I needed a solid maxed main I could rent out. I can make that money back in 4 days, I didn't trust some random account.

    ask anyone if they've ever sold an account back, someone has staked their bank away and then sold it back.

    It doesn't really matter at this point, I didn't touch your account, so enjoy it.

    I am satisfied that IHQ is the original owner. He claims to be and there is evidence that he is.

    As I understand it IHQ had a deal with newports that IHQ would retain all the essential details (past passwords, recovery questions, etc.) to the account so that if there ever was a problem IHQ would be the only one able to recover the account and therefore would be responsible. IHQ also was the one to set newport's email on the account.

    IHQ messaged newports less than a month later asking if he could purchase the account back. Newports refused to sell it back.

    Newports claims to have showed off several valuable in-game items on a popular public stream. This has been corroborated by several witnesses. 35 minutes later the account was allegedly locked and then ~12 hours after that it was allegedly unlocked.

    IHQ claims he cannot recover the account.

    Several character witnesses have attested to newport's status as a wealthy public figure. I have verified that he is a public figure.

    On balance of the evidence presented I think IHQ is liable at minimum for the value of the account: $550.

    @NewPorts99 I am sorry for your loss and hope everything I did that I could was helpful enough for you.

    I will NEVER support a pardon from him after the way he has behaved.
