Move the Middleman Forums section

We should focus on making sure that more people, especially newer and less-community involved members, are aware that there are middleman services available for them, both free and official. I suggest we move the MM Forums to the top of the RS Markets section.



This will cause:

• More awareness in using middlemans
• Middlemans help with safe trading
• Less scam reports
• More legit trading can occur
• Outside reputation can be repaired
• Middlemanning can once again be restored to its former glory

Thoughts/suggestions?

 

Support. It doesn't get that much of attention that it needs.

 

actually, i would suggest moving the entire market tools section because 1) the runescape market is not the only market where middlemen are needed and 2) the market tools section could prove to be quite useful if we could direct more activity into it.

 

Id support if it was moved just below runescape gold exchange as that's essentially the most viewed/used sub forums. Good idea though op

 

I'd prefer if the whole category "Market Tools" would get moved, but then again I think that'll move the RuneScape category down too much. I'm not sure if moving a section would be a good idea. Maybe it would be possible to inform people about middlemans when someone creates a thread or whatever.

 

I'd support a move, it would help out new people a lot. The forums are 'hard' to find now.

 

It would be good for now, but as far as I'm aware the structure of the homepage is going to be changed in the future anyway, making access to the markets more user friendly for fresh traffic.

 

No support since MM's are used (or at least should be encouraged to be used) for more than RS trades. Would make sense though to have a link at the top of each market section that redirected to the MM section, but I don't think it should be housed specifically in the RS market section.

Moving market tools above the RS market also would accomplish the same goal.

 

Why not a sticky in most sections that upon clicking it will take you to the MM forums or something?

Honestly this would be great. ALOT less scamming will occur imo. Saying that MM are used for more than Runescape is fine. You can do this at the top of every section and have it go to the same exact forum.

 

definitely support, MM forum is currently pretty hidden for people that are new to the site

Just like the Runescape Marketplace is a subsection of many other sections, so should MM Section be a subsection of the Runescape Marketplace I think would be the best solution.

 

This is great. The only way you can say you "didn't know" is if you didn't take 3 seconds to read therefore your fault. Very good suggestion though overall but would much rather see @Dunworry modification instead. (Also would save a bit of time for admins, should be fairly easy to create)

Support for both these. It would make sense to have redundancy of the MM threads to grab the attention of traders.
