Hey so i went to a gold selling site on the forums and they want a photo id+ my credit card front and back. Can this please be reported this is just crazy why would they need a photo of your credit card front and back. You just need to send them money with a photo id they do not need your credit card front and back

That is normal. Most shops require this when it's regarding a high amount of gold. People wish to prevent to get chargedback and goldshops go to the max for that, because chargebacks happen alot. From quite a new member on Sythe like yourself it's very logical to ask for this. I'll also tag @Ace in this so he can reply on this himself.

 

yes but asking for my photo id is fine but to have a photo of my credit card front and back i just dont think that is wright

Photo id of credit card ummmm no not even bic coin buying sites ask for that or bank wire transfer you just need a photo id

 

With the credit card photo, they basically just want to see your name. You can hide the 12 digit number and other sensitive information. All they want to know is that you owe the card being used to make the payment from. They may ask you to show the last 4 digits but again this is standard security.
