PM Layout - Stop Imposters

My suggestion is that a format be required when sending a Skype confirmation Sythe PM. Imposters are a large problem on Sythe and taking 5 seconds to fill out a copy/paste form can prevent a lot of head aches for everyone.

I am speaking with you on skype now.
My Skype is: [Your Skype Here]
Your Skype:

Portion of our conversation
[Skype converstaion snippet here]

Please verify that all of this information is correct before proceeding any further with this trade.

As previously stated, all you would have to do is copy paste from a notepad this format insert a portion of the skype conversation and copy paste their skype into the above format.


If this format isn't used, you could be held liable for an imposters scam.



Pros:
People don't get scammed by imposters

Cons:
Takes 5 seconds to fill in the form (not really a con)




There is also another reason for this that i'd like to not shed more light upon. If a mod would like to PM me for more details about it.

This may have been suggested before but I couldn't find it.

 

People do not pay attention to this from my experience.

It's better to right click their profile, and screenshot the skype you're speaking with. It takes 20 seconds extra effort, however it does become second nature over time.

I've been doing this since 2014, originally on powerbot as there was a lot of imposters on there back then.

Since i've been doing it I can count on one hand that an imposter has successfully conned somebody, and each time was never a large amount. Other market users who don't do this will have archives bursting at the edges of potential clients they have lost due to their negligence.

Sure you can make a template available. How the hell are you going make people use it?

They are already liable for imposters scams if they don't look closely enough at the pm to determine that it's fake, or even if it's indeterminable. Are you going to make them more liable?

 

that's kinda the point lol. if u fall for an imposter scam even after a pm like this u belong in the mental ward.
