Battlefield 1

Spent $65 dollars on this game and was disappointed with multiplayer at first, but like all BF games there's a learning curve. I'm usually very good at first person shooters, since playing CS way back in the day. At least good enough to hold my own and achieve 2:1 k/d ratios in the first couple weeks of play. Took me a month+ to get to that point with BF1. Anyone else experience this or did you just straight murder noobs right out the gate?

 

Lol you do know CS and BF have completely different mechanics? Sorry, I usually find it quite funny to hear when people consider themselves as good playing in a game. Either way I guess I play average on both games. My issue is I rush too much, which basically gets me killed too quickly in all games. And then there's my bad PC specs..

 

Of course it took you a month to get to that point.
1.) A lot of BF players are straight BF players. All they do. unfortunately, this year COD was very underwhelming and there are a LOT of CoD players playing the franchise for the first REAL time.
2.) BF1 is all about tactics. You don't run around looking left and right all the way across the map and expect to be going positive. You need a goal in mind, somewhere to defend, a choke point to cut off, a sniper spot (if theres not already 20 scouts on your team....)

This is a much more team based and objective heavy game. CS has nothing on games like this.

 

game out the gate with 10:1 K/D but then again i was ranked #1 in world for a short time in bf3 with the m40a5.


although i feel bf1 is clunky

 

I realize they're different but still, having the fine motor skills and coordination helps in both games.

People play BF1 all day every day and get ridiculously good at the game.

 

That's all true but the biggest problem I have in that game is lack of communication with allies. It's a tactical game with zero squad communication.

But I agree that the dudes are that good at BF because they play all day every day.

 

Hahahahahahahah I think your previous experience may have something to do with it brosef. I've played a ton of bf3 but this game just seems way different. Definitely 'clunky'

 

The game gets boring after a while, just the same thing over and over.
