He acts like he totally knows what hes talking about and that his argument is the end-all-beat-all, this guy is 21, he has no PHD's or Doctorates, he is not a scientist with a telescope or a laboratory with years of experience, he is not a priest or monk who has devoted his life to studying scripture, he is a kid taking lots of outlandish, ultra broad, hard to grasp concepts like infinity and eternity, adding a dash of god and a pinch of facts, and then saying he is the shit for cooking this up and everyone should bow down and kiss his balls. Well i wont, but you can. I have nothing against religion, but this guy is a dumbass.

So the guy's vid isn't correct, because he didn't solve bought these questions, when you solve both questions, then you explain the existince of god, and not earlier. And I believe we will never hear a perfect explanation for the existince of god. So just drop the topic, and keep going with you're life!

Wow this guy is a complete idiot. This whole video is the basic "God of the Gaps" argument. It is pretty much the the only so-called scientific attempt that can be made for the existence of a God, although it really isn't scientific at all. I agree with him on the fact that the universe cannot be eternal as in not having a beginning, but from there he assumes the rest based on what he wants to be true. He seems to forgo most mention of the beginning of the universe, and simply assumes that it was created. Today, we don't know for sure how the universe began, and thus the gaps of knowledge come into play. The only seemingly-viable way of saying that God must have created the universe is to slide him into those gaps. This is exactly what he does, while of course making fallacious statements to make it seem possible. For instance, he says that God is unchanging because he is outside of time. Riiiiight. If God never changes, then how did he go from not creating the universe to creating the universe? Was he always creating the universe? Is he still creating the universe? Theres just too much to have to infer. Eventually, it all comes down to faith, the basic religious cop-out. In closing, heres a funny little joke:

This kid is 21. He probably took a couple physics classes in college and came up with some ideas and now he thinks he's tough shit. Nearly everything he discusses in the video are just abstract concepts, none of that was proof, you all are just too willfully ignorant to accept it. Also, he contradicted himself in the video, if you didn't notice. He claims God is eternal and never changes, that goes against the Bible. In the Old Testament god was a pissed off mother fucker, he killed people all the fucking time, go read it some time. Then Jesus comes and all of a sudden he turns into a fucking hippie. Guess what, that's change.


Look at it this way, if this was not just an abstract theory, this wouldn't be a poorly made video on fucking Youtube, if this was actually the solution to man's on going debate about religion it would be a big deal.

I'm not even a fucking atheist, it's just as stupid. "Atheist" shouldn't even be a word, seeing as how you have to acknowledge something before you claim you don't believe in it. We don't have a word for people who don't believe in unicorns, we don't need one for people who don't believe in god.

So with all the shit I've been talking I bet you guys are wondering if I have any answers, and guess what. I don't. I accept my ignorance. But if theres one thing I'd be willing to bet on, it's that if there is a god, he isn't going to be the image of any of the prominent religions these days... Organized religion is debunked by a single factor; fucking geography. I know most of you are like 12, but allow me to explain - If you are one of those religious folk, with a few rare exceptions, your religion is determined by the area in which you are born, I'm sure if we brought out some statistics, it would be probable that 100% of the people claiming to be Christians on this forum would have turned out Muslim if born in the middle east.

This post is probably out of line, and I know it. I try to stay away from these things because it gets me way too worked up. If I offended anyone I apologize.

 

First, let me say that I myself are a christian, so Im no athiest commenting on this. I have thought this too before; that people should just believe in any religion just in case there is a real religion. But I have re-thought that because you cannot do that. Ok, think about it, if someone who didn't believe in God, said "Hmm, I decide to be a christian because just in case, i won't go to hell." You can't fake a religion whether or not people know about it. If someone faked Christianity, God won't allow him into heaven because he didn't really believe the things he has done.
Now don't get me wrong, I know there are some people who didn't believe in god, and actually want to start believing. Im not talking about them.
Edit: I just thought about what ughster said. That video was kind of contradicting things.
