Removal of the Public Relations Team

Since it is a completely inactive group of begging peasants, I think it should be disbanded.

They have told us time and time again they were coming out with these great ideas, and have produced nothing.

Now they are trying to extort the community through the raffle they are holding, when 99% of what they need to do requires absolutely no funds.

Buyacc at the helm of the team is an absolute joke as well. Put someone in that has ACTUAL recruitment/social media experience. The kid just gives everyone the runaround, all of his members additionally talk shit about him doing nothing. How long is too long?

Now they are lying about processing applications. Applications are not even being put to a vote and they are being replied to as they did not pass the voting process?

At first I thought @Sythe actually wanted to be serious about these teams and bring forth some type of revival to the site, but now it's clear they are just memes.

I also suggest putting me at the helm of the Community Team I have in mind which will actually draw unique users into the site, not this useless nonsense that continues to happen nearly half a year into their creation.

There either needs to be an entire removal or serious reform in these teams.

I cant comment on the processing applications, but if that's a serious issue and there's proof of it I'd suggest getting a global + to look into it

 

tbh i havent noticed any significant progress coming from the pr team so far so i would support removal or at the very least repurposing

 

Support as well, PR team could definitely use a new leader.

 

The only thing more useless than bleuskittles is the PR team

 

Supporting that a new leader be put in place, I suggest that it be @iFreshMez. He's the only member that I've seen be productive from his commentaries.

i will note, besides @PlanBUK and @DesireX every person who supported and posted on this thread all hangout in a discord channel. it is extremely biased and suspicious that they would support.

not saying buyacc should be the leader, but removing the team as a whole isn't the answer.

 

I support a restructure of the team with new members who are actually motivated. Current members are the team are mostly inactive and don't have the time to do the tasks required, myself included. Basically only @Im Solo has done anything productive in the past few weeks, and he has only been a member for a week or two. Anyone who has access to the PR subforum knows absolutely nothing goes on in there. It took 100+ posts or organize a simple lottery raffle because only 2-3 people were helping and we had no experience with running an event. The currently lottery we have going on was destined to fail before we even posted it but with how little we do it was better than doing nothing. The separate PR discord is dead and the channel on the official sythe discord is dead as well.

The problem with restructuring is that I don't know many people who would be willing to join the team and be able to do the duties required. I'm glad you posted this @Gun as there is a clear problem with how the team is currently run. @Sythe has also noticed that there is a problem as he posted a thread in the PR subforum asking all PR members to post what they have done in the past week. I am willing to answer any questions anyone has about the PR team in order to hep the team move into a direction that is functional and serves its purpose.

 

Obv, the team should be here, but Richard should put someone who knows what he is doing and actually gets something done in charge. It feels like not a single member of the team actually wants to do anything, they just join for the funrank. But a real leader would be the first step to make the members of the team motivated to do something

I support a removal of the team, just push the responsibilities to the CDT and call it a day - you can probably just move over the PR team members to CDT.

Someone with some basic marketing experience should be leading the team. A PR team is a good idea, but needs to have an active leader delegating tasks and following up regularly. Trying to brute force with giveaways won't lead to a lasting impact.

 

I don't get why the PR and CDT can't just be one collaborative team. A lot of everything they do and are focused on is fairly similar: get the community involved and engaged and attract new members.

 

Support combining these teams, been saying this for a while.

 

I don't agree with these at all, here are my reasons

1. Combining the 2 team will just cluster our section of threads we post for the CDT. It'll just be a mess and make everything more hard.
2. The CDT and PR team don't do the same thing actually, we handle events, they handle advertisements and such.
3. We are going to be needing PR a lot once the SytheRSPS launches, we're going to need advertisements and such done on that as well. If we take the team out then that's going to put way more work on the Technical Core team and just slow us down on developing.
