Tips on Starting a Service?

Hey guys my name is 13Levels, im planning on starting a fire cape service but would love some tips on how to get started and becoming successful in this specific service.
Do's and Don'ts would be greatly appreciated and i'd love to have hear what you have to say.

Well first off you need to follow the rules on how to start your own service (Post a picture with your Sythe name while killing jad etc)

Then i think the best way would be to do some firecapes for free or for really cheap so you get some vouches. Then you can keep up'ing the price as you get more and more trusted.

 

a lot of people do firecape services i would do something else, dont scam people and become loyal to the game

 

Initially you may find that people don't trust you and might be aggressive towards you. I'd mentally prepare for that before going in.

Other than that, you may need to do them cheap at the start to gather vouches and to show other Sythe users that you're here for the long run and not to scam. I've found that a lot of people start out by doing free services as well (small amounts of leveling, maybe a few free fire capes) to get vouches. I did this myself and went on to be an OMM and Moderator of the forum.

It honestly does require some commitment to get into the market and community but once you do - a lot more opportunities will open up and you won't regret the effort you put in. I've met a lot of friends and made quite a bit of money because of these forums.

It's very difficult to start to provide services unless you can provide very good prices, so you'll be wasting a lot of time. Its difficult to compete with well-established services with multiple workers that are reliable and consistent.

 

You should target sections which are missing services for example void, not the ones where it's flooded with competition that you can't even compete with because of their stable market position

 

you will have to be really patient at the start because of low reputation, offer free capes and build up some proof to start off with. i'd also recommend making sure you are doing these capes on a clean ip so you dont put anyone's account at risk of being banned

the hardest part is beginning with 0 rep, once you get past the struggle you can quickly become a respected seller

 

at first you need to use a middleman to get yourself a little bit more trusted, take screenshots of every cape you finish and make sure people vouch for your service.

after youve done enough capes it will be easier for you.

 

If you enjoy doing fire capes then go for it, don't listen to the competition who don't want you to make money. Yes it may be hard at first to get orders for a decent price, but when you once you've built reputation they'll come piling in ;p. Try and record/live stream your orders (with the account holders consent) to avoid having issues such as item scamming etc. You could also work for someone with rep if you're not wanting to wait to build your reputation and trust. There's tons of firecape services, I would do questing or making accounts that are NMZ ready- that seems to be trending. Also, youre going to have to perform cheap or free services until youve got a solid amount of vouches. Players WILL be willing to give you a chance, but the first bad customer you get youre going to have issues
