    Has anyone caught ditto yet? If so what pokemon did you catch to make him turn into ditto?
    Im curious to see what people have found. I personally caught mine as a magikarp(really i rather of had the karp candies)

    I occasionally play this game while walking places and a few days ago I caught a pidgey that transformed into a ditto. I do not keep up on patch notes or anything related to the game anymore so I have been super confused until I read this post haha. Is Ditto even good for anything or did they just release it as a novelty to try and shake the stale water this game has become?

    Yep, I caught one on Monday. It was originally a rattata.
    Yeah ditto is a very good gym attacker if you power him up since it'll become the defending pokemon. Your ditto's cp will scale against the defending pokemon based on your ditto's level and IVs.

    Nope, it's awesome even if it would be cp10. It copies the defending Pokémon so it's going to be as strong as the defending Pokémon. It's useless as a defending Pokémon though as it's going to be a cp 72 ditto

    Does it though? I've seen one video by Ali-A where he and his girlfriend both used a ditto to attack a gym and they both got different CPs, his was higher than the defending pokemon and hers was lower. I heard it was based on the ditto's IV and maybe level as well, the more perfect it is, the higher it's CP when transformed. I might be wrong though, or it might have been updated since
