Thoughts on "survery-scaping"?

I've seen an increase in people filling in surveys for gold while doing semi-afkable stuff in game for a bit of extra cash from talking to people on forums and stuff. Is this allowed and what do you guys think about it? I must admit it looks appealing since if I'm just training fletching or something with a low clicks per minute it looks like a good way to make it seem more worthwhile.

If you don't know what i'm talking about survey sites have been around forever but recently seem to be cropping up with direct gold related rewards, and I tested on a new runescape account since it didn't take that long to get minimum points for reward and got the gold no problem.

No exp/gp waste pushed to the limit or pushed past the limit?
