The runescape client could be modified to render a different username than the one you're trading.
^^ 100% possible, and there's no way to find an "editing" flaw in that... unless he forgot to modify something in the client

it's extemely easy to modify something like this to fake a gold trade.

You're claiming there's no way to find an editing flaw, had he not forgotten the uptext? Surely there must be a way, otherwise what stops sellers from doing this on sites that act as a middle man or perhaps Sythe?

 

Well if you search Orthortho on RS hiscores his name doesn't even exist lol.

 

That's because none of his skils meet the threshold to be on the hiscores. This is normal.

 

Dont use PA its proven to be dogy over and over again with poor customer service on par with Jagex. Tbh its all sketchy, keep reaching out to the team. Might have to cut your losses.

I can see where it says 'trade BIPPZ' while he was trading "you", total scum thing to do & hope nothing but the worst to happen to that person. Best of luck to you though!

this might not be true but @ 0:35 theres a guy in rune and firecape and the boots but those boots and the firecape look suspicious this could be the camera angle

I found additional major findings myself recently, but I won't list them here publicly in this thread since I have enough evidence to win my case and I believe the scammer could potentially be reading these forums (Same person who scammed AprilGoldStore and banned on Sythe). If you're curious to my findings, and you have a reputable account on Sythe, I can pm you.

I trust that this thread serves its purpose in educating the people of this forum to only buy small-ticket items regardless or not you're using a middle man, including but not limited to Player Auctions and G2A. Although video editing and photoshop can take time, It will be worth the effort for scammers to produce fake evidence of a gold trade on orders of 200 USD or more.

If you believe you found any other findings, please post them below! (I just won't list more of what I found in case I encounter this scammer again.)

I CHALLENGE anyone to find "other" major breakthroughs not listed here and post below.

The case was closed in favor of the seller. This is ridiculous. Is anyone able to get in contact with the PA management team?
