Need a new laptop (800$~1100$)

Heya,

Looking to buy a new laptop thats between 800$~1100$, if anyone seen something nice or recently bought one feel free to leave a reply below.

(I dont really mind going over budget by a bit if its worth it)

What would it mainly be used for? Anything you find important, like storage space, screen size, weight, glossy/matte screen, etc?

 

I'd go custom. I don't really follow US prices etc as I am in the UK however I also was looking for a 15.6 inch laptop, with a £550 budget (as i was then looking to put about £100 more into it with a 250GB SSD and cooling pad).

Bare in mind this was like 2 or so months before the new laptop GPU's came out, i went with PC specialist which is a UK company AFAIK, and got a 950M paired with a quad core i5-6300HQ. 8gb of ram and a 1080p display, i also hooked up a monitor and had it as a gaming rig for about 3 months. It could run anything i would say, like CSGO easy 120 fps with lowest frame rate 80 in DM, crysis 3 all low, BF3/4 all low above 60fps just, i was actually pretty impressed with how well it handles everything.

Had a quick look and it seems like you can't get next gen GPU's, could be wrong though. My room mate has a gtx 960M laptop and he can run crysis 3 medium settings at 60 fps, so they aren't bad. I would expect a 970M or 980m now they could be discounted?

 

afaik the 960m should be very similar to the 750ti, just wanted to point that out.

 

Get a maxed out macbook pro with touch bar, the touch bar will give you +10 aimbot points kappa

 

@Menno I think you should just use that 1000 and gamble it 2x all in on roulette and then spend the 4k you will have on a sick computer! Kappa
