Invite to Edit

Pretty much like Google Docs where the thread owners are able to give other users permissions to edit a thread and what not.

 

I like the idea, it would give people who sell there graphics an easier way to do buisness. It would have to be very specific setting however, making sure only those with permission could edit.

 

I can see it being usefull for various things, but graphics? I'm not sure if I follow you on that one

 

Like for making thread designs. A lot of people don't know how to properly format there shops, or want to make it look nice. This would allow people to offer they're services in this aspect

 

Would also be useful for partners of shops/services. I'm in support of this.

Did a quick search and didn't see any mods that allow this sort of thing, which would mean if it could be done, it would need to be created. This could cause a huge delay in the implementation of such a feature as there are still more pertinent tasks that Matthew and Sythe are focused towards.

Oh hell yeah support! I dont get why it would have to be created couldn't we just give that mod permission to the user for that specific thread? The admins and mods already can edit threads; this is a permission issue not a coding issue @n4n0

Definitely support. This would be super useful for co-owned businesses.

I think this would still be a coding thing, as there probably isn't an option to give users granting powers on their own threads.

I could see this being useful for gold shops, that way they don't have the excuse of putting good rates in their threads and then saying on livechat that their boss hasn't been on Sythe and hasn't been able to change it to the actual rates yet.

 

I support this. This would be a great addition to the site and to be frank, would be a good development.

 

this is again one of those things that would be nice but isn't in the top 20 most useful things we need right now. still in support nonetheless

 

Support but as others have mentioned this may just be too much of a pain in the ass to ever be implemented.

 

I just spoke with Matthew regarding this. He said it's something he would consider.

I can bring this up with Richard, but we might need more information in order to resolve the problem. Can you describe what happens when you click the bug tracker link at the top of www.sythe.org? Screenshots would work too.

 

I made a post in the site problems thread in the feedback subforum. Matthew already found the cause of the problem but nothing has been done yet.
