    I miss the times where it would just be that the UI would be visible with no avi at all, such as this

    i'd rather just have UI visible with no Avi
    thoughts?

    I support if we can fix the functionality of Sythe first, quite a few things still broken that aren't being tended to.

    It's been denied before because a lot of places on Xen require an avatar. Just upload a 1x1 image of the background color of Sythe.

    If we have to have an avatar for some parts of the forum, and can't just delete it then make the minimum avatar dimensions 1x1? Like right now what ever size it makes you do for your avatar unless you donate to make it bigger, change that size do customizable and a 1x1 minimum. Am I over simplifying this?

    Yes. Avatars are pretty well ingrained into XenForo and how it handles displaying users.

    As Sythe said, we could probably hide them on the postbit easily enough if people want that. But there are plenty of other places we wouldn't be able to.

    Someone should submit a feature request in Bug Tracker for this if you all really want it. The request is to add an option allowing you to hide avatars on people's posts. Keep in mind it would be all or nothing. As in, if you disable avatars you won't see any on anyone's posts. It wouldn't be user by user.
