Chargeback help

Alright so I bought a league account off someone that was on my Steam friendslist for awhile. After 2 months, he recovered the account back. He also deleted me on Skype and blocked me on Steam so I guess there's no getting the account back. I paid with Paypal as goods and services, and I want to try to get my money back but is it true Paypal doesn't cover virtual goods so am I shit out of luck? Thanks

There's no buyer protection on virtual goods. The only way to chargeback would be to claim fraud. However, that is illegal so don't do it. Probably wouldn't work anyway if you sent payments from home IP.

Can you not claim that the "goods & services" weren't received or were not adequate. Im sure you have 180 days to do that, at least here in the UK.

pretty sure they cover for digital goods, you also have up to 180 days to file a claim.

You're able to dispute for digital goods. It's the same process as if you were to dispute through a tangible item you've purchased. Just process it as you did not receive it, and give details throughout the case. Normally, they're willing to work with you (normally have with my previous experience).

 

Honestly something similar happened to me. If I were you I would make an attempt to speak to I love agent. That way you can explain the entire situation that seemed to work for me. Best of luck my friend
