What is your fondest memory of Runescape?

In all the years playing Runescape, people always have those fond memories of a certain time.
Mine in particular was back when Bounty Hunter worlds were a thing, with the EP system. (My favourite era of Runescape). Anyway, I was having fun pking, I was a big noob back in the day, pking in full rune, no vengeance and a dds. I was in a fight with one person, and as i'm fighting him I get a kill message in the chat box. So I start frantically running around looking for the loot, and I can remember in the corner of my eye seeing a sword on the ground, and as I get closer it said Vesta's Longsword, there was also something like a Seren or Armadyl Statuette on the floor too, I can just remember the happiness of getting it, sold for around 20m and to this day, I always remember getting it, I must have been around 12-13 at the time, and I couldn't have been happier.

Post down below if you have any fond memories on the game, mine are always from when I was a noob back in the day as now I don't enjoy the game as it feels like an endless grind, and nothing appeals me in game anymore except money.

 

Still being a pretty low level mercher, I saw some chick selling a purple phat in fally, told her I would give her my whole bank for it. Put most of the valueable stuff up, was like a 3m bank, and she traded over the hat. I gave her like 3 more invs and she said it was plenty.

I was a fucking boss after that with my black plate legs and black chain mail. Purple partyhat sitting pretty on my head.

I ended up trading it for a Saradomin trimmed rune set..

Oh if I could go back...

 

I was never a good player around those days, I had played for a while but I didn't actually grasp what I was supposed to be doing, I don't even remember what I actually spent my time doing, probably killing cows and fishing shrimp lol. If only you get kept that Party Hat, I sure hope that Saradomin set eventually came in handy lol

 

Yeah for my first 3 years I kinda just walked all over the place doing random stuff. Then I learned how easy merching was back then. Then I started pking and gaining more of an understanding of the game.

 

Good stuff man, I still remember when I first learnt how to merch, I always wanted to from watching the Chessy018 video of how she got rich, and I can remember flipping something small like bolts or something for like 10k thinking I was about to become the king of runescape lmao

 

About 10 years ago I used to merch outside varrock west bank and falador park to make money. As some of you may remember there was no grand exchange so all merching was done manually. I used to buy god sets and for each sale I would profit 25-100k. Eventually I had a bank around 6m which back then was a decent sized bank. Rares back then were between 20-40m which at that time was SUPER RICH. I traded this guy every valuable item I had for a blue h'ween mask so to try my luck and he actually accepted. The blue h'ween mask was valued at 32m exactly so I made a huge profit. Probably my favourite memory because I was a total noob back then.

 

These are the types of memories I wanna hear I love stuff like this, as these were probably the best years of Runescape with most people being noobs, now everyone is really efficient and it's hard to find players like they were back then. Thanks for sharing, very cool to hear!

 

back in 06 timeframe maybe 2007, I had about 40kish gold and for some reason I liked dropping the cash and seeing it on the ground well I did it. then a random popped up and snatch my ass and it was that evil girl molly. Took too long and my cash vanished.
Then a buddy gave me 30k. then this guy was selling laws for like 375 ea for some reason I bought them all and sold them for 1kea. and made bank! still to this day I still drop my cash in the same spot wishing my 40k comes back lol! cheers!

Understanding the game

 

I think my happiest RuneScape memory was getting a full set of mystic robes. I also remember seeing a level 126 (which was rare to see back in the day) wearing a dragon chain for the first time at the Hero's Guild. Good times.

 

Probably getting my first rare (Santa hat) a couple years ago. Only had it for a couple days then realized it was useless so sold it for real life $

Runescape has never been as good as it was when I first started playing and had no idea what the game was about.

I never didn't anything productive but I had a hell of a good time.

Getting 60 attack and using a DDS for the first few time, Getting 70 Magic, finishing DT (which is took me like 3 days) going to castle wars and ice bursting people. The good old times

I remember when Zezima was the god of rs. I saw him outside Varrock east bank in full gilded. I actually felt like I was in the presence of a celebrity lol. He didn't respond to me talking to him though

 

One of my favourite parts of when I used to play I remember buying a seercull thinking it was the best ranged weapon in game running through castle wars thinking nobody can ever kill me, back in those days nobody was really good at it, everyone was just running around attacking people having the time of their lives lol

 

probably the times I've gotten cleaned tbh, especially when i first started gambling

 

Most definitely when I got 60 attack so that I could finally wield dragon weapons. Along with that was actually finishing monkey madness and buying the dragon scimmy and dds

 

Low level F2P pking in Runescape classic.

 

Winning a bet against an IRL friend that I would get to 40 attack first. That $5 was great.

 

2008 when life was easy lol
