How to get Programmer Fun Ranks

How does one go about getting the programmer funranks?

Such as:



I also saw a Java one floating around but I can't remember who the owner was.

 

Usually you're awarded it for helping @Sythe with a project relating to Sythe.

 

Ah okay, that makes sense. Is there a section where Sythe or anyone would post if they needed help with the site? Security Discussion, maybe?

 

Pretty sure I heard (and dont quote me on this) that you apply for the rank you want, and sythe gives you a task if he needs something done to see how well you do it. Something like that

 

Try asking Tech core members if they need help with anything

 

I have one more thing to add although the chance of coming across something like this is highly unlikely, reporting a major exploit to Sythe himself with the fix might get you one of the ranks if it's a high enough risk to the site I would assume.
