[OPINIONS NEEDED] Seeking a pardon for my ban

Hello, earlier today @FireZ issued a permanent ban on me for stating that I had cracked gift cards in the past. Yes, years ago I had become efficient with programming and went into blackhat activity to test my skill set, but I had never, EVER dealt in carding or anything related hence why I have stayed away from forums that obviously contain such activity (gift card sales forum). I have even put out extra efforts to keep such malicious activities OFF of this site!

I really am not here or anywhere off-site to commit any malicious acts. I am sorry for talking about my past blackhat activity, but I don't think my positive reputation & attempts to have positive contributions on Sythe should be overlooked. I did understand that blackhat activity on or off-site would result in a permanent ban, but I do not believe my past acts prior to me even joining her should factor into the decision to ban me. I have been nothing but an upstanding member of the community and I have actually tried to suggest tightening security in the Runescape sector of Sythe to prevent further malicious acts from occurring to our members.

It really caught me by surprise that I am banned. The last thing I want to do to such a tight-knit community is infect it with illegal activities. It's hard to write this right now as I am kind of at a loss for words. I'm sorry for even bringing up my prior blackhat acitivity, but I hope you do believe me when I say that I am here and on all other forums with the best intentions.

I have fully acknowledged the information contained in the sticky in regards to pardon's.

You then stated on the thread - "Let's be real, everyone cracks these even I have done it"

I'd support a return with a TWC.

 

These two statements are not contradicting. By stating that I have never dealt in carding, it was meant that I was never involved in the trafficking or re-distribution (selling) of credit card info, bank info, regular info or ANY money laundering techniques. Being able to crack does not mean one automatically is selling off private credit card, bank info with intentions to launder money. I do not think a TwC is warranted as I have not made any deceptive comments or even attempted to deviate from the truth. I hope this clarifies my post and I apologize for not being quite specific enough.

 

To me personally they are quite contradicting, but I will abstain for now and wait until other staff members have posted their personal opinion on the situation.

If you had owned up to your mistake, I would have supported.

 

I apologize if I am coming off as hostile or with a defensive attitude. It's one thing I hate about electronic communication is the complete absence of tone. I am certainly remorseful for talking about my past blackhat activity as I NEVER intended to break the rules, it truly was a mistake that I wish I could take back. I am just trying to clarify my post because it seems that I wasn't specific enough. Again, I'm sorry Chloe if you think I am trying to argue or deviate from the given topic, I am only trying to clarify and be as clear as possible about everything.

Support a Full Pardon. The black-hat occurred a long time ago, and the only reason it came up was because it didn't cross Sumpin's mind that the activity malicious. I can see that there might be a difference between 'carding' and 'cracking', and so don't think that you necessarily contradicted yourself.

 

I've gone ahead and unbanned you Sumpin since this has taken awhile.
If we get a few more staff that agree with Mala, I'll remove the TWC.

 

how could he not see this as malicious? and even if the blackhat was old, he was selling these very, very recently

Was he selling them recently? Aside from the posts that led to his ban, I don't think he ventured into the Gift Card market?

He also appears to be unbanned with a TwC now as well.
