Clown threats close Ohio schools after woman reports being attacked

Has anybody else been following this? I first saw there were strange sightings and reports a couple of weeks ago. It's grown quite a bit since then, with reports in several states. South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida, etc.

People are dressing like clowns in attempt to terrorize people. Reports have them attempting to lure children into the woods, bribing them with candy. One report described a person dressed as a clown hanging around a dumpster at 2am.

Arrests have been made for people dressing up and chasing children around their town, but some of these "clowns" seem a bit more dangerous.

They've taken to Twitter and Facebook, stating that they will be targeting schools today, with the intentions on kidnapping children and killing teachers.

There are annual reports of people goofing off with clown outfits around this time due to Halloween, but this seems grim.

In my opinion, it can only get much worse. Citizens will start fighting back if they see these individuals, and some stupid teenager is bound to be shot and killed. With where the country is with so much turmoil, I advise you to NOT dress like a clown, and take anybody you see dressed as such seriously.

Schools in my area were placed on lockdown today.

 

Unfortunately, the movie "It" was filmed 5 minutes away where I live, in Bangor Maine. There's been numerous clown sightings here, threatening and whatnot mostly going towards the apartment buildings where college kids live in.

 

A meme gone too far, that's what this is, my sister wants to dress up as a clown but she'd probably end up getting shot.
