Guest Vouches

Good? Bad? Thoughts?

I personally think that it'd be a nice addition to the vouch forum, seeing as a good number of people who visit and trade in the market are unregistered. I understand that this can be seen as counterproductive to the whole 'get new members' thing, but there are still those who just absolutely abstain from registering and I think that this will be a good alternative for both them and us.

No support, no use for it - vouches should only be there to see how trustable a member is, not a guest, who can easily be anyone.

 

The same can be said about freshly made accounts, can it not?

 

Although this sounds really nice, there could be huge room for abuse. I wouldn't want to see this implemented.

 

I support this for a variety of reasons.

From a trading standpoint this would be a immense help.

The impersonation issue isn't really an issue, people look at volume for vouches, not quality.

If people see u have 50 guest vouches then they should be aware it may be risky to trade u anyway.

Just because people who read vouch threads are retarded should not limit whether guests can vouch or not.

 

Personally I think they would make an acc quick enough if they got scammed right?

Just make the acc and make sure you get pm verification it really aint hard, dude is doing pc for me now with like 100 vouches and he pm'd me so I feel safe, even if he scams it would be rip his money..

 

Considering I get a lot of non-registered users trading.. who don't leave vouches, I tend to just screenie my trades as a form of a completed trade or something.

I would like to see something like this, but I don't think it will be good. There will be no way to define an amount of rep from those vouches from strangers; i.e. someone who is not bothered to register.

No support. Too many fake vouches, too many impersonations, too many problems. If you want to make sure you receive a vouch, make sure the other person has a registered account.

 

The negatives far outweigh the positives, just have people not be a lazy cunt and make an account to vouch you.

 

I'm pretty sure the preference would be to have users register.
