Ethics is a better term you're right. As for the legality aspect, not really. Yes yata yata yata nothing is stopping a victim from seeking legal advice or going to the police but the reality of the fact is that they would lead to nowhere.

As for being invective what other outcome do you expect?
If you're in college and someone asks your friend to lend him 1000$ for rent for example, but then you hear nothing from him in years and he tries to act like it's perfectly normal and has his friends defend him spewing stupid statements like "uh he has no obligution to pay hem buk". What's your reaction? "Oh it's been 4 years ago it's fine."

What I can't understand is why, despite his transgression, so much contempt is being directed toward him. Granted, in this thread especially, he's reacted bitterly, which of course only adds to the tension. Hence my question.

 

If you attempt to open a police report of having your virtual gold stolen by a person with the only form of contact being skype/the forum the chances of him being tracked down are slim to none.

We can even take it further. If a user gets scammed for an exaggerated amount like 50,000$ worth of rsgp (and they magically find him IRL) then there's the issue that CSGO had with it's underage gambling websites (Ie; steam users do not own their skins, they simply own the digital license to use it/ same can be applied to RS.) and even those barely had any effect on the site owners that made hundreds of thousands.

I expect nothing. I'm simply that asshole who will remind him daily that he's a waste of oxygen.

The fact when I even google his name with sythe I find users (that are still active) stating they saw him say he'll never repay him doesn't help his case.

Oh yeah that must mean I said that, fuck right off. Literally I have always intended to pay him back, ALWAYS. I posted about it on Zarpor, I've spoke to Syed and Grave in the past over it when I did have time and I always told them I'll pay him back regardless if I get unbanned from sythe or not.

The timing of my unban/Pardon process shifted into DNT was perfect thats all, I have JUST, like a month ago, been promoted in work to a better paying position, which means more hours (as in, no 0 hour contract) - I have been working in this place for 11 months, 12 on the 2nd October. Before that I worked at an apprenticeship level pay in a motorcycle mechanics were I was on literally fuck all for 3 years.

 

He clearly has the intention to pay him back and there is nothing wrong with failing to pay back a loan if you go bankrupt. It's literally expected by lenders that some people will not be able to pay it back.

 

In other words you've done nothing with your life, I'm glad I never did an apprenticeship, what a shitty wage they pay lol

Given that we're leaving the EU, we should be fine in that regard. We'll have our own challenges of course after we fully leave the EU, but nothing compared to the upcoming shitstorm that is the EU is doomed to fail.
