New Reason to Visit Zeah: Wintertodt

September 8th

Make a trip up to the doors of dinner and find a new area to skill. You'll have to use your Agility, Crafting, Farming, Fletching, Firemaking, Herblore and Smithing to keep Father Christmas or as Jagex call it, "Wintertodt" at bay.

The boss fight seems fairly basic as there is no actual combat. Using your skilling expertise you can weaken and eventually KILL the wintertodt. You will want food as there is passive damage that scales to your firemaking and and hitpoints level as well as a 3x3 snow storm attack. Wearing warm gear WILL reduce damage taken. Example: Firecape is hot. Snow is cold, wear a firecape.

If you manage to light enough Brazzers, err.. Braziers? During the fight (25 points per brazier) and you have over 500 points at the end of the battle, hurrah! You will be awarded a supply crate.

The tome of fire seems the most interesting at the moment as it acts as an unlimited supply of fire runes as well as increasing fire damage by 50%. Get those firewaves blastin! If you do attempt the Wintertodt and receive something interesting, post it here, I'd love to see what's dropping.

The boss looks sweet and the rewards are pretty cool as well, seen A Friend's video on this and it does look like this will never be dead content, I bet a few people will also be going for 200m firemaking now as well.
