paypal donations???

Why go through a bond holder to become a donator instead of paying direct ? I made that mistake by going through someone , paying $8 usd to become a donator when I could have just used PayPal direct and paid $5 lol

Donating directly to the site doesn't become available until you're $25+ donor

 

So I'm guessing new Untrusted members can't use PayPal direct because of fears they'll charge back

Bond holders convert RSGP to something that is paid to Sythe directly, I'm assuming the paypal donations is a risk that the bond holders take I believe @Tyler was not reimbursed after that scammer pwncakes I think charge backed his payment. So I'm guessing that it's to protect wherever the money is going.

That's what it has been since bond holding was implemented.

 

Yeah fair enough, but the way I see it is they're trying to make a business out of accepting donations by making profit eg you want $25 donator pay $29 you want $50 donator pay $55 etc,

 

You made the mistake by using someone who charges fees.

Yup, Was also charged a $20USD fee from paypal itself. This is exactly the reason why I took fees on Paypal when I used to accept it as a method.


Also bond holding was implemented to

• Provide methods of accepting other types of currencies
• Limit chargebacks to the website through users who will donate $300, scamquit then chargeback

 

I say get rid of PayPal donations and give it to trusted members only same with other methods that can be charged back, even if a new person goes through a bond holder with PayPal they can still charge back and it leaves the bond holder out of pocket which would suck.

 

Nope.

• New user uses me to donate $25
• I buy and give him a $25 donation credit
• He charges back and gets banned
• I reverse the $25 donation credit
• I use that $25 donation credit for somebody else

The bad things are fees for chargebacks from paypal and when your account gets limited because of your bond holding.
