Unless what she's threatening you with has any truth to it why worry? If she's lying, then those who are your friends and family will back you up and tell this girl to beat it.

Now if she has something on you, something with proof and actual substance then I'd fine a way to make things right with her. Honestly if you did her wrong, she's probably just looking for attention.

And if you did hurt her, then right your wrongs and find a way to a better solution. If she is lying then her threats should be worthless to you.

Just let it ride, if she posts something that's not true and can be proven to not be true for the sole purpose of trying to extort money from you then you can easily get her for defamation (assuming since she has max friends on her facebook that some of them might work, or know people who would hire you for future jobs, thus causing you a potential monetary loss)

 

Honestly I don't want to sound petty. But you should message her mom or dad on facebook and show them these messages of her telling you that she's going to try to black mail you. Honestly it sounds childish but literally once you get parents involved changes usually come about and they're usually for the better.

@ OP I have experience with calling crazy bitches on their bluffs and would not recommend it to anyone under any circumstances ever. Try to work shit out with her without having to be involved in her life. A piece of paper won't stop a crazy bitch from being a crazy bitch. $1000 won't stop a crazy bitch from being a crazy bitch either. She'll come back for more once you let her know she can get away with it. How long would it take you to spend $1,000? Especially $1,000 that was given to you for doing literally nothing. For me, it'd be gone in a week because I didn't work for it. Then I'd attempt to do what I did to get the free $1,000 the first time, which means blackmailing you again.
