Chris (MrEvilPwns) Requesting a pardon for Unpaid Debts/Scamming

Reason for my ban: Reporting Chris/MEP + MrEvilPwns - Didnt think this day would come + Chris / mrevil owes me $540 + 4b debt to bogla + Debt to non sythe users.

Detail Description: During the months of Janurary to February, in 2016, I went from having over 15,000$ in assets, to 0, in under 2 weeks. Via sports betting, poker, and in game staking. This caused me sadly, to want to feed my addiction and go into debt without the assets to repay it back in a timely manner. I started borrowing from Bogla on about the ~10th of February and within a week I found myself swamped with 4b 07 worth of debt. I bought some more gp from Wolf / PA / Seb / Non Sythe Users, with intentions of winning more gp from their gp and then paying them back. That of course, did not happen. So on February 20th, 2016, I realized my time was up and I had to admit that I was completely broke and over 7,000$ in debt. I felt horrible, and did not use the internet nearly as frequently as I used to. Eventually though, I came back, and started rebuilding my bank through various ways, (poker freerolls, working irl, luring, etc). And slowly but surely paid everyone back one by one. And now, on August 30th, 2016 I paid back bogla the last 2b that I owed him, making myself completely debt free.

Now that I am debt free, I have learned a lot, understanding that if I have no assets / ways to repay, I should not borrow in the first place. I went to Gamblers Anonymous to try to help my addiction, but realized that I did not fit in there as most people in there were much more severe. I did learn though, that I will still have my gambling addiction no matter what I do, but, that doesn’t mean I can’t let it get the best of me. I feel very horribly about what I did, and I understand that I can never regain the respect I lost because of what happened in February. I do hope though, I can regain your forgiveness and prove once again, that I am a useful member of this community. Thank you – Chris.

Much support for Chris, he has grown and learned a lot from this experience. It also means a lot that there are users on this forum who are nearly twice his age and have yet to repay years-old debts for far less yet Chris was able to repay his entire debt in 6 months. I for one have no doubt that Chris has changed very positively from this and that this will never happen again

 

You've disgraced the face of Sythe in too many ways. I don't think I'll ever be able to support your pardon after what you've done.

 

The amount of cash repaid is exceptional. I believe that you won't make the same mistake ever again. You have my support.

I do not necessarily think you should be pardoned this time round, nor would I be against it. Given that you've repaid the amount - quite a substantial amount at that - and given others have vouched for your reformed character, I think this should go to a USL vote.

For that reason, I support.

 

First and foremost I'd like to commend you for paying everyone back and including interest.
But, for the same reason as Gracious, I'm not able to support it this time round, you made a complete disgrace out of the community and OMM rank. If you stay active and help out the community with your DNT rank I would consider supporting your next pardon.

I'll support this. I get the concern regarding his status as an OMM and the actions he took, but he has already taken the steps to fully re-pay everyone (+ interest). I am disappointed in the actions he took, but steps to repay such a massive amount of $ shows his desire to be a part of Sythe IMO.

I do not think he is any danger to the community if he had access to market and he did not intentionally scam (I know this doesn't change anything, but there's a difference between arguably being addicted to something like gambling and intending to pay people back and actively scamming thousands of dollars).

If there are contentions on his addition back into the market, perhaps allow him back to the market with a TWC.
