    Thanks for the update.

    I know that you get Sythe gold by donating, but I think some members would like to buy just the gold. Maybe have the option to buy gold, giving more gold than what a donation would give. I've heard some gold sellers talk about wanting a bump limit reduction, and I believe they would pay to do so.

    Are there legal reasons as to why you aren't planning on it? If possible, I'd like to hear why buying gold directly is not being considered.

    you'll need some kind of sythe gold sink. How about a lottery where you pay to enter but the system keeps 5% of the total pot. Winner takes the remaining 95%.

    Part of the point of Sythe Gold is to encourage activity and contribution to the site. It's not necessarily meant to just be a source of income. Ultimately I'll discuss it with Sythe, but previously we decided against selling it.

    Most of what we're trying to work on right now is the uses for the gold so suggestions are appreciated. We may not have a formal lottery but users could run their own.

    I believe this is the most viable route in terms of a gold sink. Make it so that X amount of entries cost Y amount of Sythe Gold. Users should also be able to purchase more than 1 entry. Also lottery could be split up into subcategories such as OSRS/RS3/LoL/etc. Should probably start up a poll first to see how much interest is present in each respective subcategory.

    (Sorry if I am being an idiot) but did you have the equal amount of sythe gold you would have had if it was implemented this entire time? I know we all started with some, just wondering if it was based off likes/posts/donations etc from before the update

    We flipped a switch and Sythe Gold started adding up. We didn't give out credit for past posts/likes/etc.

    It isn't currently possible but I'll add it to our list of suggestions.

    Im so glad there is finally going to be some sort of currency other than miniranks thats going to be added to the page that everyone has the ability to use. I think this is going to be something great and useful! im excited to see what comes of this when it's finally finished! kudos to everyone working on this feature

    We have the ability to stop people from earning Sythe Gold in specific sections. For example, actions in the Donor Lounge and Spam Forum do not count for Sythe Gold. We can add additional sections, but the markets are a big part of the site and I don't know that we would exclude them.
