    Hi-

    As many of you have noticed, there's something new on your postbit called Sythe Gold. The point of Sythe Gold is to be somewhat of a rewards program where you get credit for being active on Sythe and posting good content.

    You can earn Sythe Gold by:
    - Posting threads and replies to threads
    - Receiving likes on your posts
    - Voting on polls
    - Referring users to Sythe.org
    - Donating
    - Disposing of MiniRanks you don't want (coming soon)

    Once you have Sythe Gold, you'll be able to redeem it for various things around the site. We're still working on exactly what those things will be. Here are some of our ideas (they may change!):
    - Bump timer bypass
    - Extra post icons
    - MiniRanks

    Edit: Adding some suggestions from this thread so we can keep track of them:
    - @Aklan - Redeeming for fun ranks (probably not gonna happen, but let's see)
    - @Giddy - Ability to buy Sythe Gold directly
    - @Aklan - Sythe Gold lottery
    - @No Lifer - Ability to hide your Sythe Gold balance

    You'll also be able to give Sythe Gold to other users so you can use it as currency for purchasing things and on-site games/gambling.

    We realize we've released Sythe Gold a little prematurely as a lot of the system is still being worked on. However, we wanted to give you all an overview of what it is and also give you a chance to brainstorm some ideas for how the system could work. If you have ideas for the system, feel free to leave your feedback here.
