x17 - I was accused of scamming.

About 3 weeks ago (maybe more) I posted this thread looking for a Knife on csgo. I soon realized after getting few offers and dealing with the people of the Steam Community on Sythe, that it is extremely different from the RuneScape community that I was accustom to. I bumped the thread a few times and soon just left it because I came to the conclusion if I was going to buy a knife I would use OPSKINS or SkinXchange.

Before I posted that! I was in the market for CSGO boosting! That was where I came across ProGaming. I also used 2 other boosters, but they are irrelevant to this topic. ProGaming was cheap and he provided a boosting service I had never seen before. You got to play while he put you into a HACKED lobby with 8 of his own accounts that wouldn't be touched. There for all you had to do was run to the CT/T spawn and kill them to end the rounds and get a 100% competitive win. I thought that was awesome until a buddy of mine told me that its bannable. I then stopped my communications with ProGaming and did not speak with him further.

--Fast Forward about a week--

I log onto sythe with a Private Message from ProGaming asking if I was happy that I scammed him. I immediately was in awe because we hadn't spoken for awhile and I for sure sent him his 2.50$ for my Silver Rank up before. I was curious as to why he was so blatantly accusing me of such actions so I looked at the scam report. He had many pictures and conversations with someone on Steam with the name Swift Pelican, (which on steam, anyone can have the name Swift Pelican, only the physical username is unique) and that person posing as me on Sythe. Sending links to I assume my vouch thread and my account page.

I always, ALWAYS, ask my customers to link me to their profile before I begin the negotiations of a trade so I can see if they are a newcomer or how trusted they are. I also ask if they would like a PM. I never talked to him about the knife before the accusation.

--Present Time--

I recently joined the RSPS community in selling currency to specific servers and built, what I think, is a fairly well business with people who loyally buy/sell with me and have no problems. My vouch page has grown and my reputation has grown as well. I would like to think at least.

I never posted or gave his scam report any time of day because I figured that if I were to jump in and try to defend myself I would lose 10/10 because I have no proof to change the accusation. I never spoke with him. I apologized to him and I feel for him. I would personally never trade on Steam unless its with a trusted site because people get scammed daily on there and there is nothing you can do about it.

I hope I am able to prove myself with this and continue with my Sythe endeavors because I never had the intentions to scam/take anything that was not mine. Even if this mean I'm stamped with a TWC. I have a daily decent group of people who deal with me daily who know what kind of salesman I am. I do all of my business with the upmost professionalism until we come to more of a friend based relationship.

I would like to add this to my thread.

Anyone on steam can change their display name to whatever they please even if 400 other people already are known as that name. I am saying this because even though he has placed pictures of conversation with someone named Swift Pelican (which is my steam name) it very easily can be some one he knows (or maybe even himself) trying to frame me. I don't know why I was chosen as the victim but apparently I had shown potential when using his boosting services.

I don't mean to continue to reply, I understand there are a lot of disputes coming in daily. I just want to know if any progress has been made. I check about every 5 hours and there's a lot of people getting replies but I don't seem to be getting any.

This whole situation is really hurting my business's (minigame services and RSPS currency). And I'm saying that to get priority. I want this to be thorough.

Everything he had posted matching with you Steam id that you had sent him in pm?

He has proof he's done work for you before and even noted your account that you were an existing customer.

Account photos of hours played per game matching 100%?

 

x17 - I was accused of scamming.

I have looked at all the pictures and I understand that, sir. What I am trying to say is, he can very easily use my accounts info for all of his pictures showing my inventory/hours played and then have a steam conversation with one of his buddies/another one of his accounts nicknamed "Swift Pelican" to make it look like it is me speaking with him. I cannot lie, I have done that before to mess with my friends: one of my friends change their steam nickname to another friends and then sending pictures of our conversation in the teamspeak to make everyone think the real nicknamed person was the one who said it. It's very simple to do.

(I dont know if that makes sense but I was trying to make an example of how easy it would be to fake a conversation over steam. I hope you are able to decode that )

I did not send him a PM at all regarding a knife trade, therefore I was not involved in one. Like I said in previous responses. I try my best not do business without confirming I am talking to someone with a Sythe Account. You can see that clearly with my 07 Minigame Services along with my RSPS sales.

@-Ryan @Gracious , i personally dont think the ban is wrong with all the info given in the report against him. However, i would like some other staff to review this as well when they get the chance - xSeventeen17

 

Its been a few days, so I am hoping to bring this topic back to the surface. I like the idea of other people checking it out. Thank you @Excelont for your time even though this has taken a little while to complete.

I hope the other staff members can take a look, and come up with a proper conclusion along with yourself soon so I can return to my business's that have been put on hold.

@Excelont I don't know much about steam or steam trades but I do trust your judgment on this. I'd ask that you simply take one more thorough look at the report and make the best assessment you can as a 3rd-party judge. Whatever you conclude is what we will go with

 

I will review this once more once I get home tonight.

 

This is my last post on the appeal. I have laid it all on the table, I will reply if there are further questions, but I will allow the staff to finish their evaluations.

@Excelont Before you evaluate one last time I figure I should give my last attempt to prove myself because ProGaming is about to get away with murder.

I started in 2011, but I rarely used Sythe until 2015. I began a Runescape 2007 Minigame service, specializing in Barbarian Assault that was fairly well ran, but I was always so short on time.. I Gained many customers that gladly sent their friends to me after I completed their orders. I sold a gift card to @video (not that that means anything more than a simple trade, just saying hes done business with me). And after summer school started and my student-athlete life became more prominent, I went to the RSPS community to further my business because it is a less time consuming area. I was in the CSGO boosting market for a good 2 weeks, but that was it. I sold some signature space to @Zuzel111 and his infamous firecape service's for a month payment. He is a great business man. I also have what I like to think of is a decent vouch thread. 30 vouches+. May not mean much, but they mean a lot to me because that's my only proof that I am a professional, trustworthy business man. I hope that people can trust that if they choose to do business with me, it will be completed with no problems and no worries EVERY SINGLE TIME.

I've said all I can say about what I was accused for. If I say anymore it will just dig my hole bigger because like I have said before, I have nothing to prove it otherwise simply because I never was involved in a knife trade with ProGaming. I can't show pictures of our conversations because there were none. I have Sythe PM's, but that is all.

I explained how easy it to frame someone with the Steam chat system. ProGaming doesn't have anything within Sythe to prove that it was me speaking with him on Steam, and I can assure you that if I was doing any business with someone that found me on Sythe, there would be some type of post/PM on Sythe. I am just as scared to get scammed as everyone else is.

In all honesty, I have had no idea what the right thing to do was this whole time. I have never been accused nor reported for anything before. This is all new to me. I started the appeal two weeks ago and its been drug out for so long and its appalling because I was never involved in the accusation.
I did nothing wrong. And I can assure you if you asked anyone that has done business with me in the recent past, they would tell you the same thing.
