Choosing out of state college vs in state college?

i don't think you need to worry about in-state vs out-of-state

 

are u retarded or something? u go to the college u want to/like, who gives a fuck if it's in or out of state. fuck the whole ranking system and whatever, ur gonna get hired with a college degree as long as ur not an autist or get an art/history degree

 

To my knowledge, out-of-state is ridiculous expensive compared to in-state. I never looked into it at all myself, but it's what I've heard.

If you have a full ride scholarship or something, I'd recommend going where you actually want to instead of settling for a place most people in your state tend to flock to.

Why even bother going in the first place? Just a massive debt you'll never pay off and most of the time it never benefits you unless you go into that specific career. What if you change your mind for instance?

Out of State is generally way more expensive. I remember my friend telling me that his credits were over 1,000 dollars each whereas for an in-state student they were like 240 dollars each.

I know schools like the University of Michigan out of state is like 2x more in tuition.

The key to mitigating this = scholarships.

Edit: Michigan is even worse now. 13k for in state. 43k for out of state. Asinine.

Private schools like Duke are even worse - there's no in or out of state fee. It's just exorbitantly high for everyone. A Duke education is easily 200k and that's graduating on time. Other private schools would be similar.

College is a huge rip-off.

The scams took place in 2011-2012, I sent a private message to many of the mods that enclosed personal infrmation (Prooof of my brother and I, my dob, facebook, his facebook, the paypals, etc), and I don't think a 12 year old would be able to pull off an account recovery/make a paypal/whatever the fuck he did..
