Pokemon GO Ban Types​

• Soft Ban
  • Cause: Jumping between locations.
  • Effect: Unable to spin pokestops, unable to catch pokemon, unable to fight in gyms.
  • Avoid: Don't jump between locations too quickly, or wait a decent amount of time before jumping.
  • Bypass: Spinning a pokestop 1-50 times.

• Capture Ban
  • Cause: Capturing more than 1000 pokemon in under 24 hours.
  • Effect: Unable to capture pokemon. After every hour, if the total pokemon caught in the last 24 hours is below the ban threshold, you'll be unbanned. If your surpass that threshold, you'll be banned again.
  • Bypass: Throwing a pokeball and missing the pokemon 15-30 times.

• Pokestop Ban
  • Cause: Using more than 2000 pokestops in under 24 hours
  • Effect: Unable to use pokestops. After every hour, if your total pokestop uses in the last 24 hours is below the ban threshold, you'll be unbanned. If you surpass that threshold, you'll be banned again.
  • Bypass: No known bypasses.

• Temp IP Ban
  • Cause: Too many requests from the same IP
  • Effect: Prevents any MapObjects from being returned (Unable to find pokestops error). Can last anywhere between 10 minutes to a few hours (depending on severity).
  • Bypass: Using a proxy

• Login Error Ban
  • Cause: Possibly caused by logging into multiple accounts with no DeviceID
  • Not much is known about this type of ban yet.

For all those experiencing issues related to the "Unable to get data from the server" error, here is a quick trick which is worth a try. This has worked for some and not for everyone so try it out first before trying something else, it might fix your problem

For Google players:
- Go to Application Settings in your phone
- Search and open up Pokémon GO
- Hit clear data - Additional for Android users: Hit Force Stop
- Now open Pokémon GO - Login using PTC account (or make a new one)
- Now logout
- Now try to log in using your google account that had the issue.

For PTC players:
- Go to Application Settings in your phone
- Search and open up Pokémon GO
- Hit clear data
- Additional for Android users: Hit Force Stop
- Now open Pokémon GO
- Login using Google account (or make a new one)
- Now logout
- Now try to log in using your PTC account that had the issue.

Hoping you'll all be able to get into your accounts after this, if not, just keep waiting, people are getting in after a day or two You'll want to wait a while before submitting a ban request.

Hasn't worked for me unfortunately, I am interested if people genuinely have got their accounts back after a ban though. There was no sniping done when using my bot and it was always kept at my local city and also kept to 10kmh walk speed

 

I've tried this and still no luck

For iOS:

1. Tap Settings > General > Storage & iCloud Usage
2. Tap Manage Storage.
3. Tap an item in Documents and Data.
4. Slide unwanted items to the left and tap Delete.
5. Tap Edit > Delete All to remove all the app's data.

Pretty good information , tyty. Didnt know that there was bans based on pokemon captures or pokestop collecting

 

Thanks for the useful information, but bypass the ban using proxies doesn't always work.

 

Currently having the Login Error ban, sucks that it seems to be unfixable and permanent.

 

I've heard that people have gotten emails saying they're banned but I haven't received one.

 

I got one earlier today. Tried appealing, just waiting atm.

 

Strange. I'm still holding out some hope as a result ... Not looking good though think we're almost at 72 hours :\

 

Appreciated. These need including in anti ban measures.

 

After being soft banned on some of my accounts, even after a few weeks of not using them. They got perma banned T_T
