Dont you think that the news is more becoming about the celebrities than real situations? Like "tom cruise gets married". Isnt it gone too far?

Yea it's all totally stupid. I could care less about celebrities, they're just people who everybody recognize.

 

Well, in our urban world, you can consider these celebrities and stars BIG. Maybe people are more interested in gossip, and HollyWood shit, more than real life incidents?

But yeah, it's pretty stupid.

 

I think the news all together is bull crap.

 

Whatever sells is what goes in the news. I believe there's actually an entire table drawn out, actually, about all of the different influences on the media. Government, funding, etc.

 

Thats why I watch my newzies on the internets (invented by al gore)

I can choose what to read on the webs.

Of COURSE they blow everything way out of proportion now. And what's worse, it's all the negative shit turned towards the youth.

Now we have all these 12 year olds going omg Jorge Boosh sux so much anti war anti war blah blah. As I don't agree with almost ANYTHING Bush does/says, it's my own personal views.

When I ask a kid why they don't like Bush, they're response is almost "Because he's dumb lol" or "Because he went to war lol"

well as i've been searching through my local newspaper, which i agree proposes quite a bit of negativity to 1:teens in general but aswell as children even younger. blows everything out of proportion. one kid getting caught shooting herion and all of the sudden the whole town is full of drug addicts. i think news reporters and journalists always look for stories that have the most bull shit potential in them.

 

I was watching the news and everything was either the weather or celebrities...The world is growing blind...

 

its all about advertising now adays.... i just think people now arent interested in local news and whatnot so people use celeberties and stuff to advertise things.
