Please review my account ban from over a year and a half ago. I know that it is not typical to reverse a ban after over a month but I am returning to runescape and was wrongly accused of an account issue with someone?

 

your ban reason is "Banned until account situation is sorted" - care to explain what happened?

I am not sure what the cause was but if I can recall correctly it involved the sale of my old account, "Josh" to an individual who became locked out of said account. I had informed him prior to the sale that the account should be treated very precariously due to the rare nature of the name, and that I had no control of it once it was passed over. I never committed any type of wrongdoing whatsoever and I think that due to my inactivity the entire incident was somewhat swept under the rug. I tend to return to Runescape and take breaks in ebbs and flows, and since I wasn't very active at the time I saw no reason to pursue an appeal.

you're responsible for any and all accounts you sell. if they get recovered after you sell them, you have to recover them or refund the buyer. it sounds like you're yet to do that in this case

I Honestly would return the account to said owner, but I purchased the account and was unable to retrieve it. that, in addition to the fact that I can't even remember who I sold it to, leaves my hands somewhat tied.

does this make lifting my ban out of the realm of possibility?

he's banned for scamming an evasion so try to get in touch with this guy (who he scammed) - Botfinder Scam Report.
and refund him instead. ill tag him here and ask him to give his contact info if you cant find it
