Introducing the Technology Core Team

I am excited to announce the formation of the Technology Core Team (TCT). Our group has been tasked with providing the necessary technical skills for all sorts of Community Development projects. We will be working closely with all of the Community Development teams in order to provide you with an extraordinary experience here at Sythe.org that we hope will last for a long time to come.

The team consists of community members with technical skills such as programming, web development, server administration, etc. that are willing to lend a hand in order to improve our community. Our founding members, @Syed and myself were chosen directly by Richard while further members will be chosen through a process not yet designed and thus we will not be accepting formal applications at this time. However if you would like to be involved feel free to send myself or @Syed a private message introducing yourself and letting us know about what technical qualifications you have. Just be aware that although you are sending us a private message, it will eventually be made public so don't make yourself look like a fool.

The direction that the team takes is ultimately for the community at large to decide. Our mandate is to improve our community and we can only do that through cooperation and engagement with the people that we serve. Our mission as a team is not to be a vision for the future of Sythe and our community but rather a tool to implement our collective vision.

We welcome and need your ideas and suggestions for projects and your feedback on what we’ve already done. Feel free to send any of us a message if you’ve got an idea or better yet just make a thread in the Suggestions forum and we will weigh in. If you’ve got feedback on how we are doing as a group or for just one individual member go ahead and throw up a post in the Community Input forum or again send one of us a quick message. We will strive to be transparent and responsive to anyone’s feedback on what we have done well or what we need to improve on.

 

I know the other teams are a bit more closed off to outside input, but we're planning on being very open and we'll be relying on input from users to #makesythegreatagain

Also if you could actually reach out to the CDT/PR?; that would be appreciative.

Again rushed decisions is possibly why Syed feels the teams may be closed off to outside input. Simple communication is key for this to work. Hopefully we can all work actively together for the well-being of the community, although still remaining within our teams to focus on our individual specific aims.

I've said multiple times, the feedback and suggestions thread is always there if anyone has input on CDT related activities. Please do use it.

SuF if you feel it could be better communication between all three dev teams, we should have a collective discord chat.

 

@Sythe, @Dave, @Syed and I have already had a short discussion about the need for good communications between the teams and we are actively working on it.

 

I appreciate that, hopefully you can get @Excelont @Hamouze @Gracious @Tyler input.

 

Can you change your rank to be like Syed's? Yours is blurry and looks bad
