do you think it's very fair that two CDT members and one staff member were automatically selected as PR team leaders without any applications whatsoever? same concept applies here.

 

Like I said in the SF, Same group and there's an illusion of control given to the community, through "applications" most of you can read between the lines and see how it connects.

literally how many people showed interested to help with PR in sythe's thread, but coincidentally a staff member who is part of CDT and ANOTHER member who is part of CDT were chosen. i don't have anything against you, i'm just saying how the same people are dictators of every group on sythe.

Oh wow someone who's put countless hours into helping the site already and has proven in the past they can handle responsibility and care about the site was chosen. How dare they do something so absurd.

It'll be interesting to see how this pans out. I'm glad the community will have the chance to run CDT the way they see fit and it'll truly speak for the community. I'm actually genuine in this statement it will be run like a union with assistance as needed (I doubt that you can give Syed the ability to distribute miniranks ect)

in that case, a person who hasn't had the chance to put countless hours into the site will never be able to be apart of any group this site offers. elitist attitude at its finest.

 

I hate staff as much as the next guy but when you are picking the best people for a job like this it's very likely going to be "elite" people. Let them start it up and hopefully they will have more democratic and better applications in the future.

I don't wanna take away from the focus of this thread. I just don't believe you go from a regular user to the leader of a newly created team. Joining the team is definitely something you should have the chance to do as that demonstrates your responsibility and commitment and I encourage you to continue to get involved and care about the site it's great to see. I have 0 control over CDT decisions or PR decisions so I can't help with the application process but I'm sure with persistence you'll be given the opportunity.
