Make all CDT discussions public record

After this whole scandal about Jon's donations it is clear that the CDT is off the rails and can not be trusted. There is no accountability and there are mods like @Dunworry that actively try to hamper users from speaking out against the bad practices of the CDT. It is clear that there is absolutely no accountability for anything the CDT does and I do not see any reason for any of their discussions to remain private.

I propose the CDT subforum is made public and read only so that the Sythe users that they are trying to help can hold them accountable for their actions.

 

Nothing against the CDT here but I support the community getting a larger say in the CDT, and a big chunk of that is holding their activity and members accountable for what happens during these events & overall.

If this suggestion is shot down(Because the CDT members are going to rage on this), I wouldn't mind seeing what Sythe thinks and if he's willing to reoverhaul the CDT.

I support this though.

This is a step in the right direction to putting the power of CDT where it should be: With the community.

 

I mean there was support for moving a lot of the Staff Lounge discussion about suggestions into the public record years ago so I doubt people will hate this idea all that much (even though the other idea went no where).

 

Support. It's a community-based, community-serving team. They shouldn't have anything to hide.

Definite support, if the CDT discussions were public i'm sure the raffle would of went a lot better especially when it comes to organization as they would have more of a reason to try with stuff being publicized and all.

The ability to offer criticism will also be much better as long as random global mods stop trying to hide it. With more eyes on the process, the more people to see that the whole Jon situation was a shitshow and call and end to it before it got out of hand.

In the spam forum since certain mods were trying to cover it up in the appropriate sections due to "trolling" or "harassment".

 

Seeing as I donated money to the cause myself and seeing this. Just wow. The miscommunication and lack of trust with the CDT is completely absurd.

 

I'm hoping that making everything public will help restore trust that has been lost.

Nope, the CDT has closed membership. We throw ideas off each other in private and make plans then accept community feedback and release polls as necessary. We don't want SM drafts, answers to events, membership discussions, and stuff like that viewable to everyone.

If you have any concerns reach out to a leader and they'll let you know whats going on.

 

I'm not aware of any issues with the raffle. All I know is extremely trusted users are holding the money. Feel free to reach out to me me as well with any concerns.

 

It shouldn't have closed membership and I shouldn't have to PM someone to know what's going on. You are supposed to be working for and with the community, not working about them. Get off your high horse.

 

Messaged u on skype, i'm pretty sure u missed a few things, would like to discuss ur stance to as I share a similar stance as SuF.

 

Support from the looks of things the current CDT seems to similar to each other. Allowing the variety of members from the community to give input would benefit the whole system as a whole whilst also allowing them to follow whats going on with the CDT.

 

There is a lot of event discussion, drafts, talk about apps, answers to events, and similar that aren't suited to be made public.

There are tons of teams that aren't public. OMM, Staff, Security Team, PR team etc. Doesn't have anything to do with being elitist.

I've been helping with this stuff for a year or two and just giving my opinion

 

Why can't stuff be public after the event is done?
