DNT & Miniranks

Has nothing to do with the market. The focus is to eliminate use of site features to encourage users to pay their dues.

 

Some were banned for years, surely they've paid their dues. I'm not in favor of taking away something that a user has paid for (DNT people only) or even eliminating their site features.

 

Nobody pays their full dues until they pardon completely.

 

Fair enough, but don't take away their full access to the site features.

I'm all for them not being able to add new miniranks but as for the old ones, don't take them away.

 

We don't want them taken away, we want them hidden until they fully pardon. They'll be frozen on their account until they pardon. What about that?

 

Nothing is being taken away, just disabled until dues are paid. All cases are not the same, no. This would be discussed prior to putting anything to motion.

 

I'm fine with participation miniranks being shown. I think everything else should be hidden.

Only staples I think should be allowed are post count and avatars.

 

I don't think anything on the right (join date, post count) should be removed. Just keep that, name, standard user title and an avatar.

 

I don't feel like having them show would add extra incentive, they'll already know they have miniranks sitting there via the User Center, no?

 

95% of DNT members have less than 1 row regardless, I think just the participation miniranks should be shown for them. If they pardon, they should have access to the rest. That's my best take on it.

 

I mean the miniranks would still be in their manager in the user center if they want to look at them. I still see a benefit from allowing them to display their miniranks.

Join date and things of that nature should stay of course. I don't mention it because it's insignificant.

One thing I've noticed, I dont know if this is the same thread. I questioned miniranks, only because they have worth. But being down in sf i can tell a lot of them like their miniranks. So one row should be fine, even if they haven't got a lot. Thats a middle ground. @Alex_J_Leon @lame123 @b1b whats your input on miniranks?

Also @Sythe @Bus369 having occupation set as a promotion of a website should be restricted. ? Thats just what I think. Whatever website I don't know. Just don't see why a DNT should promote trade on a site.

A lot of people saying their sigs should be disabled, Is it because of the advertising sigs? (Promote trading websites) Just to restrict them?..occupation shouldn't be disabled, but just kept an eye on.

 

I could care less about mini ranks. I just need my sig and avatar space for meme'ing. BUT anyone who truly doesn't deserve it will end up getting it removed eventually.

First, the ranks. Then the signatures. Then they came for my miniranks. This whole mood/climate has me itching to scamquit before it all goes to shit...

I don't care cause I have no ranks/miniranks, but removing signatures are a bit excessive
