i was hoping to get the library i was using to do it for me so i wouldn't have to do a prepare but i gave up so i just prepared it first

 

apparently they don't do it because the c lib they use underneath doesn't really support it or something and i have very little database experience so this was highly entertaining /s

it wasnt required for my degree (which it is now since they decided that was stupid) and it always conflicted with something and i never had a project to use it with. i learned basics at my job but we don't really use it all that much. what i've worked on for the last 10 or so months hasnt needed us to touch any database at all

 

so my answer is get off my lawn just use a fucking csv
