Should market banned users have their ranks visible?

Users can relate donor ranks and other ranks to trust. In my opinion ranks on market banned users should therefore be hidden. The market banned rank will then be the only visible rank.

All ranks except the DO NOT TRADE rank should be disabled. They shouldn't be here in the first place - being able to post and troll are already enough privileges

They should at least receive minirank/prizebox compensation if they donated and we're going to remove their donation rank. We would also need to keep track of their ranks somewhere so if they ever pardon, they get it back.

If they were ex-mod and didn't scam anyone / got a drama ban, I also think it should be handled differently, and so on. We can't just strip everything for everyone.

 

With all ranks disabled I obviously mean all ranks except for the market banned rank.

Agree that perhaps ranks shouldn't be stripped for ex staff who were actually valuable to the site and were banned for a reason that could be qualified as 'petty crap.'

Finn however from what i've heard does not deserve an ex staff rank.

Also I disagree with the 'compensation' or prizeboxes, they're being punished and they don't deserve any compensation for that lmfao?

No, and I'm specifically thinking in the case of Finn. It's an absolute disgrace that he has the retired administrator rank when literally every other ex-staff has to earn the rank by being in good standing when they leave (not demoted and especially not demoted for ass fucking the whole site). There are far more deserving people who haven't caused the community such grief who don't have the rank.

 

The ranks won't be permanently removed. They are the one that has committed an offence, they'd be eligible for a pardon for full site reinstatement and from there they'd be eligible to display their ranks again.

 

I think personally even if Finn came back normally and got pardoned from a DNT they should strip him of all Ranks and Titles. lol... Just my two cents

Unfortunately they give a sense of trust too.

 

Anyone can buy miniranks. I wouldn't touch them. tbh I'd be extra cautious of someone with miniranks but low post/joindate anyway.

 

Market users shouldn't have their ranks visible. They have the privilege of coming back, and I do not think they should be entitled to ranks.

I'd say leave the miniranks there but disable all ranks on said account.
