Ex-Staff Usergroup or HOF

Ex-staff is an already existing usergroup. The hall of fame idea sounds neat in thought, however I just don't see it being regulated by any staff member. This is something that would have to be created unofficially.

 

I think you're being a dickhead. The OP made a nice thread, definitely support. Members like me who have contributed ALOT to the site in more ways than one should be recognized, Gohan hasn't really contributed much that's probably why he doesn't want this.

If you choose to update it or submit improvements to your biography, then you can freely do that. At the same time, if you don't want to, then don't. I doubt the writer would include incorrect information, but it could certainly be lacking knowledge.

There are a lot of things that have been added to the website that are equally not helpful to people of the community. It depends on an individual's perspective on what seems meaningless or what seems beneficial.

This suggestion isn't "add a new section" or "change this rule," it is an idea to improve the website's quality. When people don't know the history of the site and jump into a community that has had members posting since 2005; it might seem discouraging because they will feel irrelevant or misplaced without any knowledge of these people.

Sythe has a very long history, and I would love to see a dedicated Hall of Fame display the achievements of the people who built the site into what it is today. The community grew because of the people. This suggestion is a way to show memory or honor to those people, but it also allows newer members to learn how the site grew over time and how the most prominent members of the community contributed over time.

I've been trying to demonstrate in numerous ways that this idea could be beneficial to the website, but I feel like you guys are focused too much on the honoring part. Keep in mind; this is to help newer members become a part of the community. I keep noticing members joining and within 1-3 months they scam someone. They might all be ban evaders, or they might be new to the community and feel like this website's only opportunity is to allow them the ability to scam.

Walking into Sythe is comparable to walking into an orgy. You don't know anyone, you can talk to a few people, but you see everyone getting fucked, and you decide you rather fuck than get fucked. If they knew how the website has grown, how the members contributed to making the site into what it is today, I would imagine they would be more interested in participating themselves. I have seen my proposal work well in the past for a previous community, and I thought it might be a helpful suggestion to increase productivity

New members don't want to go searching for documents every time they see an old member. I believe new members would feel less awkward if they had such a great resource of learning about these older members that take breaks and randomly appear around the site.

TL;DR
The Hall of Fame would be a beneficial resource for new members, which would encourage growth. It would not be difficult maintain once it is composed. If someone wants to make the thread, it wouldn't take too much time. It would be a volunteer project.

Yeah. No one has volunteered yet to build it up. I might create it myself, unofficially of course.
