I got banned for luring :(

the worst part is, I didn't even do it

my friend only has a max melee and he asked if he could use it to try lure
after getting me muted TWICE in 3 days this happened

 

we just checked... his max melee was banned aswell with around 100m on it

 

luring/scamming is bannable offence for quite a while now...

 

i didnt know that luring/scamming was a bannable offense, that sucks man

 

Ahh damn, Honestly didn't know jagex actually PERM banned people for luring. I mean I knew it was against the rules but damn.

 

Although you're responsible for your account you might be able to get unbanned if you make a reddit post saying you got hacked or something and it gets lots of upvotes/support.

 

The worst part about this is Mod Mat K. I came across this dipshit perma-banning people for offenses that have already been dealt with. One guy got 99 agility and a 2 day macroing ban. He posted it on reddit, and Mat K apparently saw it and had "enough evidence" to provide this play with a perm ban. However, no proof that this was even the account being referred to.

 

They banned over 200k accounts this year alone, the majority being bots/gold farmers but yeah, they've been banning alot of lurers/streamer harassers over the past few months.

The two are unrelated, Lurers have been getting banned for quite a while now more or less under blanket RWT bans. People harassing streams have also been banned quite for a while, there's some dating back to 07's inception but they're just not very common and generally only done when popular streamers cry to JMods. The only difference is for some reason people actually care now so the retards on Reddit are giving it attention.

Sucks you were banned, sorry to hear. No offence, but I'm glad Jagex made luring bannable. I never understood people who tried to give it some sort of moral justification.
