Diagnosed's Hacked Skype/Ban Dispute

Hello, Sythe Moderators.
My original Sythe username is "Diagnosed"

Yesterday it became apparent to me that directly after I updated my forum contact information with my Skype, both my Sythe and Skype account were hacked.

I made the critical error in changing my Sythe password to the same as my Skype password.

I received an email that my email address on file for Skype was changed to [email protected].

Upon doing a quick Google search of [email protected], I discovered someone from Powerbot forums also had their Skype account email address hacked and changed to this Outlook.

This leads me to believe that someone ([email protected]) may have access to a Skype password reset and/or email updatee exploit. The culprit probably looks for somewhat trusted Runescape community trades in order to steal their Skype account, and then uses the password to try to sign into their forum account, in attempt to scam less trusted users. Either that or they flat out cracked the password.

I don't believe I was ratted or keylogged, as none of ky emails or Runescape accounts have been compromised. I also currently do not have a computer, and have been doing all of my internet usage using my phone while connected to my home wifi.

I made a warning thread on Sythe Support forums in order to receive a temporary self requested ban and to thus avoid any Sythe members being scammed. I was then obviously banned.

I have since gained access back to my Sythe account by resetting the password with my email. As I said earlier, my email address on file for Sythe was never compromised.

After sending in a lengthy Skype ticket, I was able to have my email address on file updated back to the original email, as well as secure my new password. I made sure to not make the mistake of making my Sythe and Skype passwords the same.

Although I have no computer currently, I have formatted my cell phone to make sure I am not keylogged.

When the culprit updated my Sythe password via the forums, I received a warning email that my password had been changed. It shows the IP Address of the culprit as being 216.185.39.69. The IP Address I have been using is my home address in New York. It starts with 68 and ends with 235.

My hope is that you moderators are able to check the IP audits and confirm that my Sythe had been compromised.

Also, do a quick web search to find that I am not the only person to have had my Skype email address updated to [email protected]

I'm not sure if this is all the proof you need, but please let me know on this thread. I have been a member of these boards since Sythe was known as RuneCMS, and have been loyal since.

If you need more proof, I probably don't have too much, but please let me know what I can do in order to be unbanned.

From there, log into your account, and set a NEW password that you have not used anywhere else, your account was most likely hacked because you were using the same/similar password across multiple boards or services (skype, runescape, etc).
