You need someone on your team that can reliably rain down the 3 ball when you need him too, and that's Deng. He's an asset to any team that he's on. I will admit that he can be inconsistent sometimes, but when he scores 28 points almost solely from 3s you get hype.

@Hamouze think about their style of play, ones a more fundamental player and ones a more athletic and energized player. The lakers are a young squad, having someone as athletic and aggressive as Westbrook teaching the young ones how to ball could make for a strong team

Yeah man I love Deng, but he's like the finishing piece of a good team. He's not someone that's going to turn around a franchise(like the Lakers need), he's just a solid contributor.

I totally understand where you're coming from, but it's not a reason to not have Deng. You can definitely have both. But tbqh I don't think there's any reason for someone to take a deal from the Lakers unless it's for the $$$. They're a poorly organized team right now with no chance of making the playoffs for a while.

Yeah I guess when you put it that way I get your point.

If you're talking about the 3's he made in the playoffs this year, there isn't a large enough base in which you can say he's a proven 3 point shooter.

He's always had a clutch 3-point shot. He isn't a 3-point shooter, per se, since he's always focused his shooting guard position scoring points in the paint.

Regarding the posts above me, I love Dwade, but he has never really been a 3 pt shooter. And he has had some clutch 3s but as Kiro stated that really doesn't prove anything.

These trades are really making my head spin haha.. Imagine what it would've been like if Wade ended up going to Cleveland. If you think about it, Lebron is an evil mastermind. He's the one who convinced Wade to leave, and in doing that he got revenge on Pat Riley and made the Heat (great east contenders) weaker making his life alot easier.

If anything, Wade just wanted more money because he knows his days are now numbered.

This. His window for another championship closes even further by leaving Miami. Going to be very weird seeing him on the bulls.

Completely wrong. He left Miami for an extra 4 million dollars. That's chump change for him. He literally left because of Pat Riley. The man disrespected him and made him feel worthless. Pat Riley even says he takes the blame for Wade's departure.

It's super sad to have seen the heart of our team leave due to mismanagement. Miami is angrier at Riley than they are at Wade. If I ever see someone burning a Wade jersey, I will personally stick my foot up their ass.

I guess now that I think about it, it makes a bit more sense. Pat Riley prioritized Hassan Whiteside's contract and pursuing Durant before negotiating a contract with the face of their franchise.

When I'd lurk the thread before watching @Kiro and @briantir argue was the best.

Has he appeared since GSW lost?

Nope. I think he lost access to his account due to something 2fa related. He would've showed up mid-season with the same crap though.

I saw lol. I love that the Cavs won. It adds so much intrigue to next season. I'm really hoping for OKC to meet Golden State in the playoffs next year and for there ultimately to be a rematch for the title between the Cavs and the Warriors.

    I'm a Celtics die-hard myself, but they're a few pieces away still.

I'm happy for LBJ and the Cavs coming back from 3-1, wanted LBJ to dunk that ball over Draymond to finish the game over. Would have been a hell of a finish. I don't think OKC stands a chance against GS, the only way I see GS losing is either they go from the best team ever assembled to an allstar choke fest.

The Celtics are STACKED with their picks lol just wait till next year's draft pick. The draft next year is deep.

Do you think Jaylen Brown will be any good? Don't really know much about him. Didn't watch him at all in college.

I don't watch College basketball but from what I've seen from a couple of ESPN highlights, he has good control/finishes well at the rim even when there's a defender on him. I think he might develop into an all-star.

I seriously hope the 76'ers can put up some W's, they've had the 1st pick for the last decade and they can't win more than 20 games dafuq.
