    26 members, we aren't doing anything as a community after the bot idea fell through. All good though. It's pretty much the same as every other group chat now except with the developers/programmers of the community.

    Without being like "Sythe Official", it lost a lot of its appeal to many of the members. Also, some people were wanting to profit off of it and others did not want to. I was of the latter, just wanting to learn more, grow, and have fun.

    I think the main problem is, like 4 of us actually know what we're doing and the rest think they're coding wizards and they know like 4 lines of HTML.

    I think it's best we maybe do a video weekly on a youtube channel in a different language hosted by someone who knows what they're doing and can link them back to our Programming section.

    For ex, I could do php one week, and then next week another member (if they're confident enough) can do it in a language they know and it could be simple projects.

    I think this is how we get a hold of people who want to program but don't know where to start and should increase site activity.

    Start basic and work up?

    Do a screen scraper with a simple scripting language then people can contribute and learn as they go?

    Suggest use a HDC blt to begin with then fancy it up by adding dx game wrappers that can be dropped in as dlls. These would feed the same image processing you do with the blt except it would be reading straight out of the video buffer.

    Drop-in dlls are fine btw. In fact even attaching to a running process via debug apis is fine too. I just want to avoid writing code which specifically targets and injects into one particular game and is specifically designed to circumvent copy protection in that specific game.

    Non specific software is the way to go

    I don't think we're doing a project anymore because of the amount of beginners. It's not really a coding club, it's more just like a group discussion where people can talk about coding and get help if they need it.
