I personally will not be since I need to focus on my physical health for the next few months and as such I won't be active enough to be one of your leaders. Hey, at least this time I made it a full term without resigning in the middle :p Thank you for being a great team

    Why do you want to be CDT Leader?
    To help make the CDT better, I believe with my experience in the group and irl qualities I am a really strong candidate.

    What qualities do you have that make you right for the job?
    Restaurant managers IRL
    Have had many many hours working as part of a group, but also leading groups
    since the CDT leadership positions came on the CDT I have placed 2nd everytime we have had voting.
    Check any of the past monthly check in's for how dedicated I am toward the CDT

    How will you run things differently?
    Proper communication and layout of how things are supposed to be done.

    What have previous CDT leaders done right?
    Making the group feel welcome
    Promoting a sense of teamwork
    Avoiding unnecessary emulation within the group

    What have they done wrong?
    Lack of follow up
    No structure to how things are done/need to get done
    Bad communication with the group overall

    Why do you want to be CDT Leader? I appreciate what the CDT does. Writing content, helping users, and making the forum a more active and enjoyable place. Being CDT leader isn't much different from regular participation, you just have an added responsibility to make sure things are running smoothly, on deadline, etc. Making sure we have enough people, and kicking inactive people into gear. I like the additional responsibility, because I care about the CDT. I want us to continue being an asset to the community. I like being the one to organize people around a particular idea and bringing it to fruition.

    What qualities do you have that make you right for the job? I'm able to organize things well, resolve conflicts, bring new members up to speed, and most importantly I'm always willing to step up and help whenever needed.

    How will you run things differently?
    Taking a more active role in making sure we have a full list of things planned out and being worked on. Keeping the CDT from becoming idle or missing deadlines. Working with community suggestions to build more unique events and initiatives.

    What have previous CDT leaders done right? What have they done wrong?

    I don't really care to comment too specifically. I've seen various leaders dedicate a lot of time and effort into helping with things. I've seen some bouts of inactivity (guilty of this myself occasionally) but nothing too serious.

    Country or Hip Hop? I hate country, so hip hop by default.

    Why do you want to be CDT Leader? I've seen this team go through ups and downs. Right now, this team is pretty strong and doing well, and I would like to help keep it that way.

    What qualities do you have that make you right for the job? I consider myself a very helpful and approachable person. In addition I am a hard worker and am always determined to get the job done. Also, I enjoy Sythe and would like to help grow the community.

    How will you run things differently? I don't think that any major changes are necessary. However, I think we could use more organization. I would also like to try and make events and such run more efficiently.

    What have previous CDT leaders done right? Built the team to what it is now, helped lead the team in the right direction, etc

    What have they done wrong? Nothing specific that I can think of. I was here when x339 was leading so anything since then has been great rofl

    Note: I made a lot of my points clear in my previous application for CDT so some of this will be reiteration of previous points, but most will be new. Please continue reading :)

    Why do you want to be CDT Leader?


    First and foremost, I want to make something clear, which I hope that if you take anything away while reading my application it be this: When I first ran for CDT leader 2 election cycles ago, people got a glimpse into who I actually am. There's no doubt that I'm notorious for joking around and meme'ing and that's basically what I was known for. However, I hope it is finally recognized that when I need to be taken seriously, I buckle down and do it. Spam Forum Hamouze and CDT Hamouze are completely different if you haven't already noticed. This is why I want to be leader:

    I care about Sythe. I care about the community. Being leader of the CDT is more than a title, it's a responsibility. It would be a privilege of having the responsibility to make the CDT better than it ever was and further help the community as a leader.

    What qualities do you have that make you right for the job?

    • I am arguably the most active non-staff community member
    • I am the longest continuously active non-staff CDT member. This means that everyone else who joined before me was either promoted, banned, or left the CDT and re-joined later for various reasons.
    • I get shit done. When I notice that things aren't going the right way I don't just sit down and complain (obviously I do complain first, but then I find a solution), I actually work to get it done. When we hadn't released an event in ages, I found the perfect opportunity to get our name out there again and began running the Paper Trading Competition. When no one was able to agree or come to terms with a summer event, I whipped up a unanimously approved event in a day that is already ready to be released.
    • I am on good terms with everyone. There is no one that I have real "bad blood" with. I genuinely and sincerely like each and every one of you, and I hope you do the same for me. Not only with you all, but also the Sythe community. Basically anyone who has posted a few times in the community knows who I am because of either my responses, popular threads, or helpful tips.

    Some IRL info for a sneak peek into who I am outside of Sythe:
    • I'm currently a rising sophomore in university. During my first year of university I became an Executive Committee member of the College Republicans group on campus. Furthermore, during the same semester initiated into my fraternity of over 40 members, I was nominated and elected to be 3rd Counselor which is the Secretary of the fraternity and an executive position. Executive positions are usually granted to juniors and seniors, I made my case and point to be elected even as a freshman.
    • In high school I was the President of my debate team and brought the team up to the top 5% in the nation. I was individually ranked #2 in the nation in Congressional Debate by the National Speech and Debate Association.
    • I've worked in fast food as a shift manager for Sno Biz at a local amusement park during the summer.
    • I was just recently elected into my university's Campus Advisory Life Committee. This is basically the same thing as CDT, but IRL for university. I was one of three sophomores to be elected, while everyone else (the group consists of over 20 people) is a junior or senior.



    How will you run things differently?

    Expansion and continuous presence in the community. There should always be some form of CDT event, activity, or active thread available at any given time. When something ends there should be a maximum of 1-2 weeks between another given activity (does not have to be big, but our presence should be known). Community involvement will also be taken into consideration more, so I will try and have our options for events to be open to the community and ask for their opinions. It'll be different from a feedback thread. Our events don't have to be surprises. It's always better to make sure that people like what we'll be putting out.

    There's also a strong need for the presence of our CDT members in our events, and event in the team itself. I will be making sure as leader that things get done when they need to be and are done with contributions by everyone who can.


    What have previous CDT leaders done right? What have they done wrong?

    Our glorious leaders have been able to manage a team of 20+ people and put out events on a regular basis without imploding, which is an achievement in enough itself.

    The only notable problem that I consistently see is lack of follow-ups with our CDT members when it comes to responsibilities and promises. I will definitely be able to fix that by setting out detailed threads outlining what will happen and who needs to do what. This is all, of course, after taking the input of everyone on the team. I will structure my leadership around what the team wants, just making sure that what the team wants actually gets done.

    Why do you want to be CDT Leader?

    As a leader, I'll be able to take things into my own hands and push out much more
    detailed events much quicker. This summer, we had a whole lot of nothing done in two
    weeks when all someone had to do was create a planner and assign something to
    someone. As a leader, I'd be able to assign a simple role to everyone, creating a much
    bigger event from the help of everyone. I'm not saying I'd be the best leader or I'd do
    everything myself, but by helping push everyone to do their small parts, we could
    achieve much more successful events.

    I haven't been here the longest, but I've definitely seen many people come and go. I'd
    be an excellent go-to guy for anyone new in need of assistance, such as people just
    joining the CDT or people who want to join the CDT. I feel like the CDT Leader takes a
    huge responsibility in helping people and I'd love to be the person to do it.

    What qualities do you have that make you right for the job?

    First, I'd start by saying the role of being CDT leader isn't a job, but rather a
    responsibility. Myself, being a strong-willed individual, would excel at being a leader of
    the CDT because not only am I a very organized and neat person, but I also love get shit
    done. My goal would be to build upon what we have, creating a bigger idea of what the
    CDT is and what we do for the community.

    How will you run things differently?

    As CDT leader, I'd start events much sooner than the date of the holiday or season. I'd
    really enjoy releasing a very detailed event the day of the holiday where most people
    can participate before heading back to school or work. I would remain active for the
    entirety of my tenure and creating very powerful events for the community to enjoy. I'd
    also work on small-scale events to remind people that the CDT exists and that we work
    hard to give the community a good laugh or some good cheer. Tossing $5-10 here and
    there for a small event wouldn't even be a big deal to me as long as we get the
    community more involved - that's the whole point, isn't it?


    What have previous CDT leaders done right? What have they done wrong?

    All of the leaders have done a superb job thus far and I thank them for helping our
    community grow. The only problem I can think of that some CDT leaders have would be
    inactivity, but totally understandable. Life happens and we have to deal with more
    pressing issues before we could go back to our community.

    Country or Hip Hop?


    A ton of people hate country, but there are actually some decent songs. Still, I much
    prefer Hip Hop.

    Why do you want to be CDT Leader?

    I would want to be a CDT Leader because i enjoy getting the community involved with the site instead of just using the market. Another reason i would like to be CDT Leader is because it will give me alot more responsibility than i have now. By gaining this responsibility it will better me as a person and give me great leadership skills for future references.

    What qualities do you have that make you right for the job?

    I have many qualities that make me right for the job. This includes me being active for 8 hours + per day, extremely motivated to push out new content, i am an avid graphics maker in which i can make all event graphics my self, and i get things done. I will not wait around to get events out and going just because we couldn't decide on some mini rank to give out.

    How will you run things differently?

    I will run things differently by no longer waiting to get event out and going. If i become a CDT leader i will be pushing events out left and right. I have many ideas and new methods as to getting new content out to the community fast. We will no longer take weeks to decide on a mini rank or weeks to publish an event. And we will definitely get events ready far ahead of time for the Holidays.

    What have previous CDT leaders done right? What have they done wrong?


    Right -
    In the past CDT leaders have promoted and held numerous events flawlessly. Great ideas and great communication between all the CDT members and great communication with the community.

    Wrong -
    Lately i have been seeing alot of drag in the CDT. We spend too much time choosing the little things while the big events should be out by now. We need better communication with the community as to what they want. We also need better communication with our own CDT members and give out specific duties we need done to each member.
