How do so many get banned?

Before I proceed, I know there is a rule section that obviously you must follow on the forums.

What I mean by asking is how on a lot of threads I see people with many titles who are banned.
People with thousands of forum posts and some with donations etc. who have the ban title.

Is it easy to get banned on these forums?
Do they just do one horrible thing that makes them deserve it?

I am just curious because I don't want to put a lot of effort and make a mistake unintentionally just to be banned.

 

If you follow the rules you'll be fine. Most people are banned for scamming, or participating in malicious activity like blackhat and hacking. Don't harass and flame other users either, lots of people get banned for repeatedly doing that, and not stopping when asked.

Understood. I am just shocked to see people who were very active with thousands of posts/ statuses banned.

 

A lot of older members who have moved on get hacked, that's something to be wary of too.

 

It's extremely easy to not get banned, just follow the rules and you'll be fine.

 

Don't copy someones thread. Don't take something from personal support and chuck it in spam forums. Don't accuse someone of being a scammer without proof and don't scam. The first 3 can easily be done without to much thought, don't think they all resort in a ban thought.

 

Honestly going to go ahead and lock this as we're just saying the rules.
