I have a file which I make during a week, after changes I save it and make backup copy. Today I have opened it and Adobe Acrobat 10.0 viewed an error - The file is damaged and could not be repaired. I'm frustrated, please help me to get back data.

 

Have you tried opening it in Internet Explorer or Google Chrome? Here's a suggestion for opening it in Internet Explorer:

The problem might be due to be an overflowing temporary internet files folder. I noticed that other PDFs could be viewed in IE. The ones that could open were smaller than the PDFs that were giving the user problems.

A temporary fix is to delete all temporary internet files and restart IE. A more permanent fix is to empty the temporary files folder at each exit. You can also increase the disk space available to the temporary internet files folder.

To delete temporary internet files upon exiting IE, go to Tools Menu >> Internet Options >> Advanced Tab >> Security Section >> Check the box next to “Empty Temporary internet Files Folder when Browser is Closed”

 

After a bit of research I would suggest downgrading your Adobe version to see if any of the previous versions will open your file.

I'm assuming this is a .pdf that is locally saved and worked on instead of one you open online somewhere then save afterwards? We have this same issue at work but it's only for forms that we open online instead of saving it locally
