Set prerequisites for offering MM services.

I've noticed a lot of new members on Sythe offering free Middleman services with virtually
nothing to lose if they scammed someone. This is not to say that everyone with little to no
rep is a scammer.

People new to this site could potentially see any Middleman as someone they can trust who
isn't familiar with exactly how the site works. I've noticed more and more, trust is the
backbone of this website. A newcomer might just choose a Middleman solely based on the fact
they are a Middleman.

I can see this being argued in both senses as when you offer any type of service, one is
supposed to blindly trust you if you don't have or a rep. (or use a MM) I just feel to even
offer this service, you should have to have proven yourself in some aspect whether it being
join date, vouch count, ect.

I'm just speculating. This could be more trouble than it's worth. I'm interested in hearing
your thoughts.

 

Sythe is a free market and I don't think putting restrictions to these kind of things will ever happen.

 

Don't think it would be a good idea, because it's a lot of work to check.

I understand from both sides of the spectrum. Perhaps, it's not very practical. I suppose I may have made a bigger issue out of something that may not be a huge problem. Thanks for reading my suggestion.

 

Free market, so nothing like this would happen.

But when users require a middleman, they want someone more trusted than themselves. So it's very uncommon for users needing a middleman to use the services of a low or no donor with low vouches. In that market, it's almost a requirement to have some form of vouches/donor status in order to MM trades

 

Free market, yadda yadda, it's already been explained above so there's no need to explain it again.
