    Scammer's profile link:http://www.sythe.org/members/partypeteshop.291420/

    Explanation of the trade:this kid adds me on skype,I saw right away he was an impostor, so I wanted to see what was his scam..so I ask for a pm and he sends me some random shit from the original partypete on sythe and I immediately figured it all out..I think this kid is making random impostor sykpe adresses and just looking for people that will fall for it..maybe he got hacked?..idk, but should definitely check...

    Why would someone try to impostor his own skype, then pm from his original sythe account?..I don't see other reason but to scam people..very low, watch out for this scumbag

    Looks like he sent a PM to the wrong person?

    @PartyPeteShop

    Pete you have to be more aware of things like this... if we see this happening frequently due to your not checking the skypes of the user you're PMing it could lead to liability

    I don't see where he's really made a mistake here.

    The chat sent via PM had nothing to do with the OP.
    The Skype ID's listed in the PM were from the chat of the person attempting to imposter scam.

    I feel like he did the right thing for what was included in the message, but might want to include the trade type and amount in the future... or have the user PM him first so he can respond.

    The person who attempted to do the imposter scam is a ban evader (Skype ID from PM), but I doubt they're using an account on Sythe and camp their Skype's all day.

    Closing this.

    Unless we're only holding MMs accountable for situations like this that reoccur, but I was always under the assumption we asked people to check the skypes of the users they PM.

    Like search them on google and make sure they match the user requesting a PM

    Let it show I'm not blaming pete at all, just wanting to clear this up - and I do think Pete should be aware of this

    I'm fairly certain for all the business that's done on Sythe, not even 5% of traders do this.
    All right. I think what he needs to do is either include the trade type and amount or request the user to PM him first since he's in a certain position of trust. However, if he is to do this, then everybody else should have to as well.
